Keith Carradine stars as Nick Savage, a loving single father of five boundlessly energetic teenage boys in NBC Universal Television half-hour comedy, "Complete Savages," on ABC.

Carradine has starred in almost forty feature-films and over twenty cable and network television movies, and is an Academy Award-winning singer and songwriter, with two albums and a hit single to his credit.

Most recently Carradine had audiences and critics talking about his role as Wild Bill Hickok in HBO's "Deadwood." He has also starred in the miniseries "Dead Man's Walk," "In the Best of Families," "A Rumor of War," "Chiefs" and "Murder Ordained," and in the telefilms "A Winner Never Quits," "My Father, My Son," "Stones for Ibarra" and "Eye on the Sparrow."

He got the break that launched his career while providing musical accompaniment for his brother during an audition for the Broadway musical "Hair." The author and stars found Carradine to be more suited for the part, and he spent nearly a year on Broadway, eventually moving into the lead role of Claude.

He then landed the role of a young gunslinger in "A Gunfight," with Kirk Douglas and Johnny Cash, which was followed by Robert Altman's "McCabe and Mrs. Miller," with Warren Beatty, and the Altman classics "Thieves Like Us" and "Nashville." During the filming of "Thieves Like Us," Altman incorporated several of Carradine's compositions into the "Nashville" soundtrack. His song "I'm Easy," which he performed in the film, won an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Song in a Motion Picture. His single recording of the song made the Top Ten on the national charts. He also released two LP albums on Asylum -- "I'm Easy" and "Lost and Found."

Recently Carradine completed a remake of the Lee Marvin classic, "Monte Walsh," with Isabella Rossellini. His other feature films credits include "A Thousand Acres," "2 Days in the Valley," "Welcome to L.A.," "Choose Me," ""Trouble in Mind," "Andre," "The Duellists," "Pretty Baby," "The Longriders," "Southern Comfort," "Falcons" and "The Moderns." Another of Carradine's artistic talents was unveiled when he painted several canvases for "The Moderns," including one that became the film's poster.

Carradine recently starred in the cable movies "Sirens," with Dana Delaney and Brian Dennehy, and "Enslavement: The True Life Story of Fanny Kemble," with Jane Seymour.

On Broadway Carradine appeared with Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn in "Foxfire," receiving an Outer Critics Circle Award for his performance. Earlier stage work included "Tobacco Road," with his father, John Carradine, and "Detective Story," with Charlton Heston.

Carradine created the role of Will Rogers on Broadway in "The Will Rogers Follies," and garnered a Tony Award nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Musical. The show won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. After a year on Broadway, Carradine led the national touring company of "The Will Rogers Follies," performing in 28 cities in twelve months.
