(see this users gallery) While in her freshman year at New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, Bess Meyer was required to take two minor courses, and her choices were art, music and drama/theater. Since she didn't believe she could carry a tune, she chose theater and art.
At the end of her freshman year, Ms. Meyer was encouraged by her fellow classmates and teacher to audition for the freshman/sophomore musical, "The Boy Friend." She learned that she apparently could sing when she landed the role of Dulcie, the character she coveted most. From this amazing experience, the acting seed was forever planted.
She later went on to star in the stage productions of "Ah, Wilderness," "Oklahoma!," "The Man Who Came to Dinner," "It's 1984, By George!," "A Far Better Place" and "Finian's Rainbow."
Ms. Meyer has appeared in numerous television series, including starring roles in "George & Leo," "The Boys are Back," "Room for Two," Parenthood" and "Normal Life." She has guest starred in such shows as "Nothing Sacred," "Party of Five" and "Picket Fences." Her made-for-television movie work includes "Unspeakable Acts" and "Quiet Victory: The Charlie Wedemeyer Story."
On the big screen, Ms. Meyer has appeared in the films, "Heathers," "Stuart Saves His Family," "The Inner Circle" and "One More Saturday Night."
