(see this users gallery) John O'Hurley stars as Roger Heidecker, a pompous game show host who, by recently marrying Mandi Mullet-Heidecker, is now the stepfather of the Mullet brothers, in the new UPN comedy series THE MULLETS.
O'Hurley's role as catalog king J. Peterman on "Seinfeld" led to dozens of advertising campaigns earning him multiple Clio Awards. He recently partnered with the real J. Peterman to tape a new travel/adventure television show.
O'Hurley starred in several television series, including "Over the Top," opposite Tim Curry, "A Whole New Ballgame" and "Scorch." His many guest-starring appearances include "Frasier," "The Drew Carey Show" and "Living Single." He also appeared in a number of daytime soap operas, including "The Young and the Restless," "All My Children" and "Santa Barbara." His made-for-television movies include "Life of the Party," opposite Ann-Margaret, "Inner Sanctum," opposite Victoria Principal, "White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd," with Loni Anderson and "Blood on Our Hands," with Susan Lucci.
In addition, he hosted "To Tell the Truth," "Get Golf with the PGA Tour," "National Dog Show Presented by Purina" and the upcoming "Food's Greatest TV Moments."
O'Hurley starred in the feature films "Race to Space," opposite James Woods, "Firetrap," opposite Dean Cain, and "Billy The Kid." He is set to produce "The Richard Petty Story" about the legendary race car driver and has plans to produce and co-star in "Whale Hunt in the Desert."
On the animation side, he lent his voice to the films "101 Dalmatians" and "Lionheart," as well as to the series "SpongeBob SquarePants," "Hercules" and "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command."
On stage, he recently starred opposite Loretta Swit in the comedy "Same Time Next Year." O'Hurley also created and performs a standup/musical act with a 60-piece orchestra belting out Broadway songs laced with anecdotes about his "misspent youth."
An avid golfer, he originated a celebrity invitational that benefits the Alzheimer's Association. O'Hurley, who was born in Kittery, Maine, enjoys spending his free time traveling, fly-fishing, riding horses and entertaining at his Los Angeles home. |
