(see this users gallery) Originally from Bronx, New York, Alimi Ballard began his acting career while in high school by performing in community theater productions, such as "No Laughing Matter" and "The Common Thread." He later joined the Manhattan Theater Club and the National Black Theater, where he starred in "Holiday Heart" and "Endangered Species."
Ballard's first television role came on ABC's daytime drama, "Loving," where he starred as the troubled youth, Frankie Hubbard. He was also a member of an ensemble cast for "In the Mix," a teen awareness program. His first primetime role was on "New York Undercover."
In 1996, Ballard moved to Los Angeles and shortly thereafter, landed his current role on "Arsenio."
