Olivia d'Abo joins the cast of "The Single Guy" in its second season, starring as an English woman who works as a voice-over artist at Sam's (Joey Slotnick) recording studio. She befriends the rest of the show's characters when she moves into Jonathan's (Jonathan Silverman) apartment building after a nasty divorce.
In just a short period of time, d'Abo has established herself with diverse roles in both film and television. She is perhaps best known to television audiences as Karen, the hippie teenage sister, on the Emmy-winning series "The Wonder Years." She also appeared in "The Single Guy's" pilot episode (in a different role).
Among her recent film credits are the critically acclaimed "The Last Good Time," by writer/director Bob Balaban. In this film she starred with Armin Mueller-Stahl in a story about a unique relationship between a young runaway and a refined older gentleman. She also starred in "Kicking and Screaming" as a young writer looking to expand her horizons among a group of men trying to determine what to do with their lives after graduating from college.
Her other film credits include the Disney family comedy "The Big Green" as well as "Live Nude Girls," "Clean Slate," "Greedy," "Point of No Return" and "Wayne's World II."
d'Abo was born in Great Britain to well-known model and actress Maggie London and Mike d'Abo, onetime lead singer with the rock group Mannfred Mann. Her birthday is January 22. |
