They had to make room on their schedules because some of their pilots include remakes of Dark Shadows and Lost In Space.

Exactly. Supposedly she doesn't like science fiction so when she (Diane something, I think) took over, she took upon herself to dump all of those shows.
I miss them, too. It was such a treat to tune in and watch all those shows I hadn't seen since I was a kid, plus a few I was too young to watch the first time around. :(

It really pisses me off. Lots of people have threatened to drop SciFi completely, which I sort of don't blame them for.

Why would someone who hated science fiction want to be associated with the Sci-Fi Channel?

I asked myself the same question. Makes no sense whatsoever, unless you're just really greedy and all you're looking for are dollar signs.
They need to give her the boot NOW.

I guess what really makes me mad is that channels have something good on that make people watch and then they change their programming once they become big. The Gameshow Network and AMC(Which I used to watch all the time but haven't in about 2 years)are 2 examples.

That's exactly what makes me want to knock those people upside their heads. It makes me so damn mad, I could spit. Thank you for bringing up AMC, because I've watched that channel change so much over the years. I watched it constantly. Their latest addition is.... Harry and the Hendersons. THAT's supposed to be on of their classics.

Now what they're trying to do is bring in a younger audience. Why? It's supposed to be American Movie Classics, just like Turner Classics. If you don't like older movies, flip it to another channel.

I always taped my old movies off of them and a lot of them weren't shown anywhere else.Thank god I got TCM now. Whats worst is that AMC has those damn commercials. Its no longer a special network. I can catch most of their movies on any other channel I get.

It started going down hill when they got rid of Bob Dorien as the host. Most of the people that replaced him look like they're on drugs.

I mean, what the hell?
So did I, and I'm really glad I did that while I could. Every now and then I'd watch TCM, but more often than not, it was always AMC. Now it's the other way around. I really don't like them straying away from what they had, but what I really can't stand and what continues to disappoint me are the endless stream of commercials. The other night while I was watching Alfred Hitchcock, I noticed maybe 3 or 4 commercials during the break. That's it! Before I knew it, the show was back on. Can't say the same thing for AMC. ohno:

My parents have been divorced for almost 10 years, and my mom never remarried, and my dad had to pay child support every month, even though he had custody of my brother, and we didn't send him any child support for my brother. My mom had custody of me and my sister.
There are SO many reasons moms are single (never married) or single (divorced). You shouldn't assume it was just because of sex. What a ****ing load of bullshit. :)

My mom would HAVE run her 1997 Subaru Legacy station wagon into the ground- she got it in January 1998 with 1,000 miles on it...When she was in a car accident in October, she totalled it. At the time of the accident, she had 68,000 miles logged on it.
I'm just glad my mom's OK, though. :)
Now she has a '91 Oldsmobile Ciera that she got a REALLY good deal on. She got it with only 23,000 miles on it....Now it has 25,000+ on it. Everything about it runs smoothly, too... Even the paint looks awesome. It looks brand-new.

Hey, good luck with it!
I sure did, taped 'em all and watched every episode. About The Psychic, I cried quite a few times while I watched it, especially at the end. Easy to see what other people meant when they talked about the tension between Brenda and Bill. Made me cry when she hugged him and when he broke down in her kitchen. :(

One thing that was interesting in that dream I had about Tara, she was black. Nothing wrong with it, I just find it interesting. Maybe it was because she likes Ron Glass a lot.

Muffin never bit anybody. I would sit out on our porch and he would come by and rub against my leg and purr. He would steel our neighbors cats food which was out on the porch though. Aww, sweet cat. Trouble was... trouble. She could be a sweetheart sometimes, but more often than not, she was hell on wheels! As she got older, she began to mellow out and would allow me to touch her. Then she got into the habit of curling up next to me outside, purring the whole time. I think what happened was that she'd been abused in some way, so she wasn't the most trusting cat around. Speaking of stealing food, she pulled that stunt with the other cats. Then she'd chase them off!

You must have a special aura surrounding you. :) For some reason, animals have been the same way with me - and it's never failed to blow my mother's mind. She's afraid of any animal she doesn't know, and I've always been the opposite. For years, I had about 8 cats hanging out in my backyard. Why they refused to stay at home during the day, I'll never know. But it was as if they practically lived there.
