Anyone else see this video (It's been playing on MTV recently.) I like the song (some of the guitar solos are really good), but the video is really.....well, odd is a nice way of putting it. wonder where these guys came from.

The name of the group is the Darkness. I thought it was a great video and a great song. I'm not a fan of modern music, so I'm wondering if these guys are the real deal or a one hit wonder.

The song is catchy as hell. The video, I wished it was even more odd. I'd like to see even more campiness and rocking out.

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!
still unsure if they're a parody of some of the 70's and 80's rock star extravagance or if they're serious and trying to bring the Spinal Tap thing back. It is catchy as hell either way you look at it though.

Yeah, the videos pretty funny and that AND the song itself remind me of the 80's, too. I don't love it or anything, but it's okay. Pretty much everyone I know who's heard it hates it.

I like the song, haven't seen the video. My friends who have, however, tell me that they are a knock-off Queen band, is this true?

I'm not a fan of modern music either, but I also like that song.

I love this song. Its very 80ish. I think the 80s are coming back. The video reminds me of the beastie boys stuff.

can't explain all the feelings that you're making me feel
my heart's in overdrive and you're behind the steering wheel
touching you, touching me
touching you god you're touching me
i believe in a thing called love
just listen to the rhythm of my heart
there's a chance we could make it now
we'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down
i believe in a thing called love
ooh!
i wanna kiss you every minute, every hour, every day
you got me in a spin but everything is a.o.k!
touching you, touching me
touching you god you're touching me
i believe in a thing called love
just listen to the rhythm of my heart
there's a chance we could make it now
we'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down
i believe in a thing called love
ooh!

I think this song contains something that I feel rock music has been seriously lacking for about a decade (yes, there have been some exceptions, but I mean in general). There's a real personality and style to this song and these guys, and it reminds us what we loved about 70's and 80's rock. Too many of today's rock frontmen are interchangable.

I don't really think so, I suppose you can say he's a flamboyant frontman who likes to dress wildly, like Freddy was, but I don't see any comparisons besides that
