Im not voting right now....
but I have a few suggestions (sorry)

First off.... there's no category for best supporting actor comedy.

And for "Best Comedy Series".... Ive never watched the show.... but Gilmore Girls seems much more like a drama than a sitcom to me. (and if you do decide to change it.... put "Frasier" in its place)

Everybody Loves Raymond seems to be missing....

First off.... there's no category for best supporting actor comedy- Thanks for pointing that out.

And for "Best Comedy Series".... Ive never watched the show.... but Gilmore Girls seems much more like a drama than a sitcom to me. (and if you do decide to change it.... put "Frasier" in its place)- I put Gilmore Girls as a comedy because that is the category that it competes in at all award shows. Much like Ally McBeal before it, this show is a "Dramady" a combination of comedy and drama. Thats why it is there.

As for Raymond, well you can't put every show there so i had to leave something off thats why its not on the list.

24 and Kiefer Sutherland should have been included in these categories. There wasn't even a new episode of the Sopranos that aired in 2003, so that shouldn't have been on the list.

Not necessarily. ELR has an edge now because it's already been on for a while and is in syndication. At this point, Scrubs needs to get a couple more years under its belt before it'll be seen in that sort of 'popular' light.

I think Scrubs will be "more popular" in the sense that it has the makings of a cult classic. "Workplace" sitcoms always have a rabid following who will continue to love the show long after it ends, look at M*A*S*H, Cheers, Mary Tyler Moore, Taxi, Newsradio. All of those shows are certainly cult classics. I can see Scrubs joining that rank after another really good season or two.

Well all those nominations were warped. You did your best though, considering this year has been truely awful TV show wise.

I doubt that. I didn't say anything was wrong with Scrubs, but right now, Raymond is a lot more popular. It gets a lot more award nominations and Ray just won the PEOPLE'S CHOICE award. So in my opinion, putting Scrubs up instead of Raymond is ridiculous. But oh well, it's not like this counts for anything anyway.

Raymond did not make my list because i believe that it appeals only to a ceartin demographic, old geezers with nothing to do... Whereas Scrubs appeals to a broader demogrpahic... Also i've seen more posts here on Scrubs than on stupid Raymond.

Well, basically the nominations are all about what you like anyway and as I said before, it's not like they mean anything. So really, I'm sorry for bringing up the whole thing in the first place, it was quite stupid of me. And your explanation really made a ton of sense :).

I hate to make generalizations, but I kinda have to agree with you. My parents (who are in their 60's and retired) are the only people I know who actually watch Raymond, and both of them think the show is about 4 seasons out of it's peak.

Most people here say Friends is the most overrated sitcom on tv today, but I think the honor truly belongs to Raymond. I agree it's definately a good time for Friends to go and that they are a good 6 years out of their heyday, but at least I still have interest in it. I watched Raymond once and never cared to watch it again.

That may be you, but I know a lot of young people who like the show, and I know there are a lot more out there.

that was uncalled for. I hate Raymond, but those who love the show have the right to IMO.

I just think he's overrated and not that funny. Everyone called him the new Jerry Seinfeld when the show started, but I don't see it. Seinfeld was a trailblazer, Ray is just a harmless family show

ok my comment about raymond fans is uncalled for, i apologize for that... i was trying to be sarcastic but can see how i would have offened people. I'm very sorry for that.

I do think in the end Scrubs will be more popular, as it appeals to a more broad audience, whereas Raymond is specificly for married couples and older people (thus the trademark of CBS)... whereas Scrubs appeals to many demographics and young and old alike can watch the show. I also think that Scrubs will stand the test of time much better than Raymond which will see dated and well boring in a few years time. However Raymond most likely will end up on a N@N type network in several years... Scrubs will prob just live on in off-network syndication I also believe that raymond is an overrated show, Ray Romano is not a good actor at all he is stiff as a board.... Jerry Seinfield as stiff as he was, was a trialblazer whose show transendes time and will live on forever... Raymond will not... The characters will get too annoying in a few years time.
