Who was the funnier TV DAD, Cliff Huxtable or Carl Winslow?

Carl was much more funnier than Cliff. I defintely would have watch Family Matters if it came on the same time as the Cosby Show

I agree. Cosby Show IS overrated, there's no denying it, but if I had to choose between that or Family Matters, I'll choose the Huxtables

The Cosby Show is also on WAY too much. It's on 8 times on weekdays between 3 channels and COUNTLESS locals.

the first 3 seasons of Cosby are CLASSIC. The last 5 seasons had more bad episodes that good (especially the awful 90-91 and 91-92 seasons) but the 84-87 episodes of the show stand the test of time and are still funny 10-15 times later.

The 1991-92 should have been aired on C-SPAN. Horrible season. I can also say the same for the 97-98 season of Family Matters

I actually don't think the last season of Family Matters was all that bad. True, it's not my favorite season, it's probably the worst, but I still found a lot of episodes to be good. I do think CBS and the departure of JoMarie Payton Noble killed the show though.
