I used to love this show, but this year (and part of last) have been so stupid. They focus too much on that little kid next door. Damon is still as funny as ever, and I've loved Goerge since New York Undercover. But this show is going down hill fast.

You know that writers are out of ideas when they bring in a cute kid. It happened with Family Ties. It happened with Growing Pains. It even happened with The Brady Bunch. The new kid factor really brings the show to an all-time low. Even the Fonz was a victim with the little girl on there. No show is immune to it, but some give in and some don't. I wish MW&K had not. They have a great cast and still have the cute factor with the youngest girl. Why do they need it with a 9 going on 39 little kid?

I hate the direction the show is going and no longer make a vallient effort to tune in. If I catch it on, fine. If not, that's fine too. The writers could remedy that if they just had neighbor boy move away.

I agree with some of your points especially the writing! It's been hit or miss with the scripts. The dumbing down of Junior really bothers me because there are moments when he acts intelligent then sinks down to mind boggeling stupidity. If he were just saying stupid things just to be joking that's o.k! BUT! They have him saying stupid things and being serious! Then he goes a get a baby! Some of this stuff is too much. I agree they have a pretty tight cast but the blow it sometimes with the silly storylines.

I've said it before..., and I'll say it again: how can anyone NOT like Franklin??? That kid is adorable. The way he talks cracks me up. Everytime I turn this show on, I say "where's Franklin? I wanna see Franklin." Aside from that, yeah, I'm not into the show so much anymore. When it first premiered I wasn't crazy about it because it reminded me a little of the Cosby Show, now I'm not crazy about it just cause it's gotten plain silly.

I agree! I do find that it is going downhill. There are some good moments, like with Damon and Tisha and I just think that Claire's boyfriend is the funniest of them all. I think it was too early for them to have Junior become a father. They hardly show scenes with Junior and his girlfriend going through the teenage parent's stage. All the jokes are on Junior and his stupidity. They should have waited a little longer before they went with the story line of Junior becoming a teenage father. Franklin needs to go. It would have been good to have him in a few scenes and that's it.

yeah there have been some truly stupid episodes this season...

michael growing the hair in patches in weird places
michael joining a band and he doesn't play an instrument.

dumb dumb dumb

as for junior, i'd rather see him a little smarter and franklin a little dumber. or better yet, stop giving franklin so much air time.

he is ANNOYING!

you barely get to see the kids.

I think this show is just getting stupid. Michaels little hair pills...that was sooooo dumb!! This show needs to be cancelled or get new writing.

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with this show jumping the shark. At the beginning of the season when they did the hair episode, I thought ok, that has got to be one of the worst episodes ever for a sitcom, but everyone deserves a second chance. So I kept watching the show to see what would happen. I can understand one strike in one season, but now they have two strikes after this week's episode. First of all, Franklin is starting to get really annoying. They are using him way too much. Was Katey even on this episode? I can't even remember. If it wasn't bad enough having him waste time and lose ratings by talking in Latin (a dead language), now they have him saying things like "homosexuals" and making fun of Micheal (or Michelle) Jackson. I'm sorry, but come on! There is no way that that should be allowed. Franklin is a little kid and shouldn't be using language like that. As well, the whole premicess of this show was rediculous. The face freezing thing was so stupid it wasn't funny. I got bored and kept flicking to repeats of Boy Meets World (the episode where it parodies a murder movie). Anyhoo, I'm done venting. The bottom line is that Franklin needs to be used less (in smaller doses) or they need to get rid of him all together. This show has one more strike before I'm not watching it anymore. This show is officially on shark jump alert and I've only been watching it for 1 and a half seasons.

I think Franklin is great.

But I feel the storyline of Junior's son has ruined the series.

I think this season is the worst, but the first 3 are hysterical.

Last year I watched this all the time, now Ill just tune in if I feel like it.
Its nothing to look forward to anymore.

I don't think they should've made him a father.I guess if the show were more serious, they could've gotten into the teen parenting bit,but the show is too silly for such a strong topic. It was better last season.

I agree, this show is too sily for such a serious topic. I think Franklin is getting better now that he's not acting a lovey dovey for Kady! That's what really annoyed me about him. As the neighborhood genius, he's funny!
