Scrubs will be Pre-empted on January 15th again for the Apprentice. They will show "My Rule of Thumb" on the 22nd....they always seem to do this with all of my favorite shows. It makes me so angry!

That is a crock. The one good show they have been able to stick in the post "Friends" timeslot in years and they keep pre-emting it for garbage.

 That stinks! Scrubs is one of the few decent sitcoms left on TV.

The last new of episode of Scrubs was on December 11th.

Seems like ages ago.

I highly doubt NBC can afford to lose another comedy. Once Friends and Frasier are gone come May, Will And Grace is the only comedy besides Scrubs that actually gets reasonable ratings.

If I knew what you were saying I'd probably disagree with you. :D

I mean pre-empting it....Thats what Happened to Whose Line is it anyways, they kept pre-empting so it kept losing viewers until it got cancelled (I think)

Yeah, if they keep doing what they are doing, the casual fans will just forget about it and watch something else. It happened to Futurama, and Andy Richter Controls the Universe. But I highly doubt NBC will cancel Scrubs. Every network trys to have the one "critic" hit, that doesn't do as good in ratings, but does brilliant with the press.

Last minute moves:

Starting next Thursday (1/29), NBC's Thursday nights will lead with "Friends," followed by "Will & Grace" at 8:30 and "The Apprentice" at 9 p.m. for an hour. To make room, "Scrubs" has been pushed to Tuesdays at 9:30, starting February 3.

As a result, the Peacock's Tuesday now will start with "Whoopi" at 8:00, followed by "Happy Family" (which returns to the 8:30 slot after a stint at 9:30), "Frasier" and "Scrubs." Odd man out is "The Tracy Morgan Show," which has been sentenced to schedule purgatory -- Saturdays at 8 (paired with a "Whoopi" repeat). NBC will air re-runs, rather than originals, of "The Apprentice" in the Wednesday 8 p.m. slot. "Good Morning Miami" is missing and looks like it will not return anytime soon, if ever.

 I'm confused.....Is this all Temporary? or is it staying on Tuesdays for good?

That's a mess. NBC is really bad this year. Starting shows at :55 and other odd times past the hour and stuff. ARGH!!!

It looks like this will last the season (after May), if it does well, that is. Word is next fall Scrubs will be taking Frasier's Tuesdays at 9PM slot, but we won't know that until mid-May. And The Apprentice 2 (if there is a second one) might actually jump start Thursdays at 8 for NBC, and air the Friends spin-off, Joey, at 9. This is all speculation, of course.

NBC is trash anyway. They haven't been good at all since about 1992 or so.

Mark Burnett is pretty vocal. If Mother Zucker even _thinks_ of pitting his two biggest shows against one another, you can bet he'll never hear the end of it.

WHAT??? The Apprentice 2 vs. SURVIVOR?

Is he crazy?

You see what happened when Idol was up against The Apprentice.

It KILLED it.

I think Scrubs would fit Frasier's time slot very well
(unless the people behind Frasier get smart and produce a spinoff)

I think The Apprentice 2 vs Survivor will be the end of The Apprentice.

If NBC were smart (which they havent been in years) they would make Thursdays like this:

8:00 Joey
8:30 Will & Grace
9:00 The Apprentice (as much as a Reality Show on Must See TV kills me.... this would be their smartest move)

and for Tuesdays:

8:00 Whoopi
8:30 Happy Family
9:00 Scrubs (or the brilliant idea of a Frasier spinoff)
9:30 NEW sitcom (or Scrubs if a Frasier spinoff does appear out of nowhere)

Hey pav....
I was wondering....

Have there been any rumors about a possible Frasier spinoff??
And could there be one in the works.... but wouldnt be announced until Frasier is over??
About how early are sitcoms announced to have gone into production??

If this makes any sense.... Id like to know.

I haven't heard any mention. It has be to be announced before mid-April if it is going to happen. As pilots have to be taped before (before April 30) network upfronts in May, where the networks announce their schedules for the fall.

Announced before mid-April.... still sounds possible.
(hopefully)

Thanks for the info!

Alert for Feb. 10:

Tuesday, Feb. 10, NBC will air a one-time only (at least so far) must-see Tuesday, with a supersized repeat episode of Friends at 8 and super-sized original episodes of Will & Grace at 8:40 and Scrubs at 9:20. An original episode of Law & Order: SVU, in its regular time period at 10, will top off the night.

pav.... please tell me your lying.

this is bull****.
NBC sucks.... they'll cram all the Friends and Law&Order they can into their schedules.

Even if it means taking out their best show (Frasier)

why is NBC jerking Scrubs around like they are? Scrubs and Will And Grace will be the only comedies that get decent ratings left after Friends and Frasier leave in May

I can't believe they are messing with Must See TV this way. I loved Scrubs on Thursdays. It fit so well with everything else. Now with the Apprentice in the middle it messes up the whole night for me 'cause I don't watch the Apprentice. When networks start moving things around all the time they hurt their shows because no one knows where or when the show is going to be on again. Grrrr!

Me too. Thursdays was much better, especially after Friends, Not Will & Grace

It's getting to the point that I'm just happy when it's on, never mind which night. The TV Guide does me no good because it's wrong 75% of the time.
