Of course I had friends, and I would talk with them, and be all fun and stuff and then when I got around people I didn't know I would become really shy and never say anything. Its just been in the past couple of years that I have gotten over that. Now I can meet new people and have conversations with them. Used to it took me a long time, like 6 or 8 months before I opened up. You just have to feel confident enough as a person not to get worried about what people will think about what you say. If you are like I was you always take yourself way to seriously with people you don't really know. Don't do that, it will be hard, and it'll take time, but just start thinking about everything a little more lightly, and as far as activities...as soon as you open up, you will be a part of many groups, and if you want to say, play softball, you won't be afraid to try out. Ahh, sorry if I am counceling, just telling you what I know from experience, and we have been talking about self esteem in family wellness. Don't feel bad Ash.:hug:
