"The Heartbreak Kid"

Alex is a bit surprised when Patrick doesn't invite her to accompany him to his and Stevie's high school reunion. After overhearing a phone message from Laura - Patrick's high school flame - Alex begins to suspect that her mild-mannered boyfriend may be trying to hook up with his ex, and has to figure out a way how to keep an eye on him during the party. The Bachelor's Bob Guiney guests stars as a fellow high school alumnus.

Quote from "I'm With Her" -

Patrick: Alex is coming over later, and I'm trying to make this place look a little more piet de terre.

Stevie: That's French for "crapbox," right?

This one was somewhat below average, but it had its moments. Most of them were Stevie's! He is the funniest sitcom character I've seen in recent memory, and he pretty much bounces across the screen with ease!

On the down side, Alex's undercover snooping at Patrick's high school reunion was less than convincing, as was what happened when she chose the wrong name tag. On the up side, it was nice to see Patrick and Alex reaffirm their romance after he got his guilt over Laura out of his system.

And oh yes, Teri Polo looks cool as a brunette! ;)

I'm probably the worst critic when it comes to "I'm with Her." I immerse myself in each new adventure they dish out in the lives of Patrick Owen and Alex Young, and love every minute of it.

I agree about Stevie. I haven't watched too many sitcoms over the years, so I don't know many characters. But Stevie definitely stands out as one of the funniest I've ever seen. Right along with Balki Bartokomous. :)

Is that supposed to be a compliment? ;)

Of course. :) I thought Balki was great. One of most memorable oddball characters seen on TV in the last 24 years (starting with 1980), at least for me.

Stevie in the panic room was genius. "Don't panic in the panic room". I love that guy.

Okay, just to set the record straight, those last two posts really belong on the thread about the 1/13 episode, not this thread. Having said that, though, I still agree with everything Justinkase and Anaheim said! :D
