I'm a huge fan of any Ed Wood movie. Anyone else love Ed Wood's work? Everyone says how bad he is at what he does. But he loves his work and I love it too.

I only saw Plan 9 from outer space. It was a good concept that was not fully realized due to lack of funding.

I've seen Bride of the Monster and The Sinister Urge on Mystery Science Theater 3000. I saw bits and pieces of Plan 9 on a public domain channel a few years ago. Plan 9 may be called the worst movie ever made but I have seen movies both on an off Mystery Science Theater 3000 that make that film look like The Godfather.

He's still known as the worst movie director ever, his movies have a reputation for being awful but I love 'em. Ed Wood had a passion for what he did, so how can you go wrong with that? Anyway, I love 'bad' movies and Ed Wood's are among them.

Plan 9 From Outer Space is my favorite.

With my Christmas money I'm buying this box set of Ed Wood movies. Plan 9 From Outer Space, Glen or Glenda? and Bride of the Monster.

Is BOTM good, Brian? Well not good but so bad it's good?

BOTM is ok. It has Bela Lugosi as a mad scientist and it has Tor Johnson as Lobo, his assistant. It has an octopus that was stolen from a studio but the motor wasn't taken with it, causing it to not work. You'd notice if you see it. But I like "The Sinister Urge" better.

I know about Tor the motor etc. I saw "Ed Wood" with Johnny Depp made in '94. "The Sinister Urge" isn't in the box set :(

I think if you want to know if BOTM is a movie you'd like I think you should rent it if your local video rental place has it.

Oh that sucks then. If you really want the box set maybe you should get it then since you like 2 out of the three movies, judging from your post. I think BOTM is a "good" Ed Wood film but I don't know if I would call a classic. But I think it's something that Ed Wood fans should have in their collection.
