This is right after season 8 and Roseanne hasn't hit the lottery this time. But this takes place a year after and Darlene already had Harris.
EP 1 MRS. CONNER'S NEIGHBORHOOD
Roseanne finds out a new woman is moving into the Tilden's House next store. Charlotte has one last goodbye with them and cooks them dinner. We learn Molly is in a drug rehab which is something Darlene continuously jokes about. Roseanne meets the new neighbor, Estelle Greenwood, and can't help but notice she's just like her. She finally has her first conversation with her and learns her husband died and her 3 kids all have left her because they think she's a bad mother. Roseanne realizes she can help Estelle.
EP 2 SHOWER THE OLD LOVE
Jackie and Roseanne are planning a wedding shower for Crystal who's getting married for the 3rd time. They try to get DJ not to spoil anything so Roseanne has to do whatever he says. Rosie dares Jackie to hire a stripper for the party. At the party the stripper comes dressed as Captain America, he reveals himself and it's Fred! Jackie runs out but Fred catches up to her and they talk and decide to get back together.
EP 3 THREE LESS MOUTHS TO FEED
Darlene and David have finally found a home just outside of Lanford to live in. Their day comes to leave but Roseanne still isn't sure if she wants her moving out yet. Darlene's day comes and they leave, she invites the whole family up to her new house. When Roseanne comes up she tries to convince Darlene that she can't go on without her.
EP 4 THE BOYFRIENDS FROM HELL
Jackie and Fred decide to have a Halloween party but just the two of them. Roseanne gets angry because they've always spent Halloween together, Darlene comes up with a brilliant plan to get back at her: Invite all her previously boyfriends to Jackie's on Halloween. Fred and Jackie's night is going well until a knock on the door and it's: Gary, Booker, Fisher, and her high school boyfriend (Anthony Edwards). Could this ruin Fred and Jackie's relationship?
EP 5 SISTERS WILL BE SISTERS
Jackie gets really pissed off of what Roseanne did to her and she doesn't believe that Darlene was the one who gave her the plan. Becky helps finish Darlene moving in and she watches Harris for the night and she gets tortured by her. Becky gets in a fight with Darlene when she doesn't say thank you or not even pay her at least. This starts a fued of Jackie and Darlene vs. Roseanne and Becky. Mark and David try to work the problem out.
EP 6 DADDY DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE (1)
Now that Jackie and Roseanne have settled down she recieves news from Dan that he will be going over to California to take care of his sister mother, Audrey. Roseanne starts having doubts of him going away and doesn't think it's a good idea. One night Rosie dreams that Dan dies in a plane crash so she gets even more worried. Can she talk him out?
EP 7 DADDY DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE (2)
Dan decides to stay until he gets a call from Audrey saying that the doctors have found cancer in her liver and only has very little time left to live. Dan knows he better leave right away, but Roseanne who is still worried about the dream decides she will be coming along with him but only for a few days after having a talk with Crystal. Jackie is in charge of DJ and Jerry but DJ gets angry that Roseanne can't trust him.
EP 8 TO GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE WE GO
DJ, Darlene, Harris, Jerry, and David all decide to visit DJ and Darlene's grandmother, Bev. They decide to take the train when David and Darlene's car breaks down and Becky and Mark are out of town. It becomes extremely frustrating when all Jerry and Harris do is cry and none of them can get to sleep on the uncomfortable seats. They finally reach Bev's hometown and they walk in on her drunk. Darlene yells at her the next day and Bev feels disrespected.
EP 9 ANOTHER CUP OF CHILDREN PLEASE
After a fued with her grandmother Darlene decides to go back home and she signs Bev up for more AA meetings. With the absence of Rosie and Dan DJ wants to throw a party. Darlene and David finally go back to Englewood, the town they live in. David thinks it's time to have more kids but Darlene thinks 1 is enough in their life right now. Meanwhile Jackie catches DJ throwing the party.
EP 10 GOODBYE BECKY, HELLO ROSEANNE
The family recieves news that Rosie will be returning home the next day. Becky and Mark stop by and have exciting news: their moving to Philadelphia! The reason for this is Becky's old friend Dana lives there and is pregnant and her husband left her so she wants to go there and help her out until she has the baby. Roseanne comes home and is upset because she barely got time to see Becky. Meanwhile Jackie gets worried that Dennis still likes her when he kisses her.

EP 1 ROSIE WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM
Dan returns after his mother dies and is depressed about it and starts turning to alcohol. Mark returns to Lanford saying he couldn't take Philly anymore and he got in a fight with Becky. Roseanne yells and thinks their marriage is gonna end soon. David then asks Estelle if his sister, Margie, can move in with her since she's been lonely after her kids ran out on her and she says yes. Roseanne is mad because she doesn't want everyone going to her if they have a problem.
EP 2 MAN TO MAN CHAT
Dan starts to think about his father after his mother's death, and he starts to worry that he could die soon. We learn Dan sent him to an old people community over the year because he thinks that ever since Crystal left him he can't take care of himself. They have a revealing chat when he gets there about his business, Dan's childhood, Audrey, and Crystal.
EP 3 TAINTED LOVE
DJ gets picked on by the school bully, Eric, and eventually Eric's girlfriend starts to pick on him too but DJ can't help but stare at her during class. DJ goes to Darlene for help and Darlene says he should try asking her out. When he does she laughs in his face but he still likes her. Finally he founds out that her and Eric broke up and she finally agrees to go out with him.
EP 4 THE WEDDING PART III
It's the big day for Crystal, she's getting married to her new man, Phillip. Rosie and Jackie get angry to find that neither of them are Crystal's maid of honor, but their old time friend, Bonnie. It turns out them two became good friends when Crystal and Ed moved out of Lanford for a little while. Meanwhile Ed finds out about Crystal getting married and fights with Dan after Dan tells him to get over it.
EP 5 IF I ONLY HAD A HEART
It's a week after Crystal's wedding and she gets back from her honeymoon. Rosie calms her down because she's scared her 3rd marriage might fail since Phillip is a traveling business man. Dan then gets a phone call saying his father was rushed to the hospital after a heart-attack. When they get to the hospital the doctors tell them his breathing through machines and might not make it.
EP 6 IF I ONLY HAD A HEART (2)
Unfortunately Ed has another heart-attack and the doctors are unable to save him. Dan is very upset since his mother just died and now his dad. He takes the blame for himself saying that over the years he was never loving to his father and he should've taken the time to talk with him more. Then Crystal starts blaming herself since she left him and got re-married. Meanwhile Roseanne gets mad when she finds out Darlene nor Becky will be returning for the funeral.
EP 7 ESTELLE, ESTELLE, ESTELLE
Roseanne is annoyed by the fact that everyone is fascinated by the things Estelle has been doing for the neighborhood. She tries to convince Margie to move in with her since DJ, Mark, and Jerry are the only ones living there now. She says no but she agrees to spend the weekend with Darlene. Darlene meets her for the first time and hates her saying she reminds her of her sister. Meanwhile Rosie and Dan start to fight a little too much and Jackie tries to get them to work things out.
EP 8 THE FUGITIVE
Dan leaves the house after more fights with Roseanne. He rents an apartment in Englewood and is close by Darlene and David. Dan tells Rosie he isn't coming back to the house until they can work things out, Rosie gets angry and starts to wreck the house after recieving the phone call from him. DJ gets upset too because Heather is over and he is scared to tell her the truth so he says he's mom is mental.
EP 9 A DAY IN ENGLEWOOD
Darlene and David visit Dan's apartment and Darlene thinks he needs to clean up the whole place. They have dinner with him and try to get him to go back with Roseanne but he says this is it, he's had enough fights with Roseanne. He announces he's going to get a divorce with her, this breaks Darlene's heart and she starts yelling then David calms her down. Darlene says she never wants to see him again.
EP 10 STOP! IN THE NAME OF LOVE
Roseanne recieves divorce papers from Dan in the mail and she becomes more outraged. DJ is angry at his father's actions and he also reveals he never wants to see him again, then Mark tells him he knows what it was like because when he was growing up he barely had a dad or a mother. Rosie finally agrees to divorce him after having a talk with Jackie and Estelle.
