I just read that he commited suicide and that makes me so sad. I remember him from The Neverending Story. Such a nice looking boy. I wonder why he allegedly commited suicide. I know that no one else is really affected, but it's shocking to me. Poor guy....

There is an article about his passing in People Magazine. Apparently he was depressed because his career was not going very well.

Do you know who's on the cover? I'd like to check the "People" article out too. I'm always sad when someone really feels there's no other way out of their pain.

I heard he didn't mean to commit suicide. But that he was known as a practical joker and he usually did things like this to prank his friends, but he accidentally suffocated and passed out when he tried "play" hanging himself.

It is very sad that it happened, but I don't think it was suicide in the "I'm depressed and want to die" way, probably more like the way Michael Hutchense committed suicide a few years ago even tho he didn't intend to kill himself.

If that's the case, then Brandis did a real bad job being a practical joker. You'd think he'd be smarter playing a practical joke concerning death, if this story is true.
