Okay, I'm going to get the jump on everyone else and post the details to the Christmas episode, so as to start a new thread for it. I hope I'm not stepping on any toes here. Anyway, here it goes:

12/16 "The Greatest Christmas Story Ever Told"

After agreeing to only spend up to one hundred dollars on each other for Christmas, Patrick is stunned when Alex surprises him with the key to a brand new sports car. For her part, Alex is speechless when Patrick's gift includes a key to his apartment, and Stevie discovers a newfound popularity with ladies when he dresses up in a Santa suit.

Thanks for posting, I have missed the show not being on the past couple of weeks.

This sounds like a great episode. I love this show! :)

Due to President Bush's interview with Diane Saywer airing tomorrow 8-9 p.m. on ABC, this episode (along with 8 Simple Rules), will air NEXT Tuesday, December 23.

Alright, now that I'm more rational. . . . Don't ask me why ABC elected to show this Bush interview in the 8 PM ET hour, displacing both "I'm With Her" and "8 Simple Rules" for the third straight week, when they could have aired it in early primetime on another day. Maybe ABC, which has been doing very well in this primetime hour, wants to take maximum advantage of this journalistic coup. Maybe they're hedging their bets against schedule changes made at NBC and Fox since these two sitcoms last aired. Someone on the "8SR" screen suggested that the ratings for "8SR" and "I'm With Her" could be helped by airing the next episodes so close to Christmas, though I suggest that the ratings could be helped simply because of the increasingly impatient fans of both shows having to wait so long to see them again! Four weeks, to be exact. Whatever the reason, this seems like a shabby way for ABC to treat their regular Tuesday night viewers.

I agree with you, ABC does tend to treat it's viewers very shabbily. I have waited forever for a new episode of I'm with Her. It's frustrating. They could put the interview on Monday night. If not Monday, why Tuesday? I mean Monday would be sooner, it wouldn't have hurt to wait till Thursday. UGH!

Finally, after four weeks, a new "I'm With Her" episode. Was it worth the wait? Umm. . . well, yes! It was! :D It was very sweet seeing Patrick and Alex come to terms with the meaning of their respective gifts and realizing how much they loved each other - enough to know that they have to take things slowly. Very nice. Stevie, as usual, is a lovable nut - the Santa suit bit was really funny! And you have to appreciate a show that juxtaposes a movie star making a Christmas action movie with her teacher boyfriend teaching Dickens to her likely moviegoers! :)

As for Cheri's birthday on December 26 - too bad we're not like Canadians! There could have been some great Boxing Day humor! Alex would have had to trade places with Cheri for the day! (Boxing Day tradition! :D )

It was most definitely worth the wait! The episode was fabulous, Stevie in the santa suit was priceless. I loved it at the end when he was trying to steal the mazaratti. When the alarm went off, and was running I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes.

Stevie in the Santa suit had me cracking up. Using it as a tool to get the ladies was pretty f-ing funny. And when the alarm went off and Stevie is racing out of there almost made me wet my pants. Also, in the tag, when Cheri tells the little kid to "park it" because she's got "stuff". Hysterical.

Cheri seemed to be mellowing out just a bit, at least toward the idea of her sister dating Patrick. But maybe it was the brandy! :D

I remember early 1997. Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was winding down. ABC was pulling the plug because the show wasn't bringing in the ratings that it once had. Or something to that effect. But as someone pointed out on another message board back then, ABC was airing Lois & Clark sporadically. It would be on one week, but might not be on again for another two or three. How could the ratings be positive if the show was barely on?

Admittedly, the irregularity of the show's broadcast might have been because of its declining ratings. But I remember how even earlier in the series, it wouldn't be aired every week. And it was irritating when you were looking forward to the next episode. I hope ABC treats I'm with Her with more respect. Plenty of the network's other shows have had no trouble with their schedules. So please, ABC, what do you say we get our act together with this one, okay? :)
