Okay, first thanks TJ for your comment towards the end there. Now, for more important business those posts I posted last night - I wasn't really intending to up my post count. Heck, I'm one of the ones trying to boycott the post counts and in it's place have mood or something like Chris (OP) has stated to me before.

Yes, TJ in the past I have upped my post count, but thats when Dorothy was still here and she was doing it intentionally to tick me off so I decided to play her little game and tick her off. But lately, no I haven't been doing it intentionally. I post a few times to myself on the random board because no one is here and I might as well talk to myself like Chris (GOMM) does. No offense, Chris! ;)

I probably will get rid of them and make a bunch of necessary changes to everything and the whole layout when I upgrade after Christmas. I don't think removing them will lessen the amount of useless posts by that much though.

I don't think when you are making 5-10 posts in a row that could all be put in one (or edited into one) that those posts are replyable.

Even though useless posts would still be made, it'd be so much better because people will then stop bragging about their posts and how they're better than a certain person, how they're the best member, etc.

I think you should make a limit on posts one right after the other or something also because even though people aren't just posting numbers, they still post a lot of unecesary poems, quotes, songs, etc. that no one else wants to read or is interested in. It's just as bad as numbers, only the post is longer and makes the page both longer to read and scroll down through. What's the point of replying to yourself? Unless you have a split personality, I don't see one.

TJ, I noticed you took the members button away, but the post count remains. You should replace posts with 'mood' like I have below. If you want I can try and find a code for 'mood' for your type of board because my board is a different brand than yours, but if you are interested I could look into it. It would be no trouble at all.

Well, I just gave you two fine examples of someone upping their post count just to be doing it intentionally.

Can I ask you a question, TJ? Well, I'm going to anyway. :p What's the sense of removing the "members" button if the post totals still exist in our posts and our profiles? People can still look at everyone else's profile or posts and calculate what number they are in the top 10, just an observation.

I was just offering a suggestion. On the other side, I seriously think you should get rid of the post total. If someone wants to see their post total, they can go to their profile. And I bet you a happy meal that most people aren't going to go through 10 - 20 people's profiles seeing who has more posts than the other and make a top 20 countdown. I know I wouldn't. It's almost fullproof. And if we loose a few babies in the process because they can't see their post total, then all the better. Although they'll all come crawling back because they always do. Every single one of 'em.

On another related topic, why single out Alison, Holly, and Cathy when you have this one staring you right in the face?

I was walking down the hallway with Becky and Leanne and then I saw Alexis and Aurora going the other way, to our health room, so i turned around real fast to follow them and I bumped into Aurora and I was like "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" like..sarcastically. And we laughed. So then we stood outside the classroom cuz the door was locked and this girl comes up to me and taps me on the shoulder and goes "Excuse me! Were you talking to ME?! BECAUSE I THINK YOU WERE TALKING TO ME!" and she was all in my face and I'm like "Uhh...no. I believe I was talking to her. *points*" And she walks away.

I just realized something. She created that new sn on 07-05-2003 and posted that thread about losing aol one day later. She was really setting me up. It was just so obvious that she had planned everything out. No one realizes how sick this still makes me whenever I think about it. How could anyone do this to me? And she knew I was a weak person and she used it to her advantage. It's never really going to go away unless I get amnesia. No matter what I do it'll always be there no matter how much I try to bury it, it'll always rise up to haunt me. I should hit myself over the head with something and pray for amnesia. ohno: I hope nothing, but the worse for her. People like that need to wise up and get what's coming to them.
