I sure do. It looks BAD I mean, I saw the add didn't laugh, giggle or smile once!! Mike Myers should stick to Austin Powers, for now.

You know, this movie is more meant for LITTLE CHILDREN.

Well if it is meant for little children then it failed miserably. There are bathroom jokes and I've heard critics say how the main characters end up at a rave with Paris Hilton. This movie could have been good if it stayed to the book, but after hearing about it, it seems really bad.

Howcould you say it failed miserably when it just opened? The reason why they put in some adult humor is because parents will have to sit through this movie with their kids. I can almost guarantee that when it is all said and done, this will be the #1 movie in America....Hardly a failure.

You said the movie was meant for little children, and if that was its purpose then it failed as a movie for little children. I'm not against adult humor but the humor in The Cat in the Hat does not seem that intelligent or right for the movie. They could have made it witty without having to result to jokes about raves, bathroom humor, and erections. It may do well at the box office, but it does not do well as being a movie with the name Dr. Seuss attached to it, imo.

Did you see the movie? I'm asking cause I was gonna take my son to see it next weekend, but not if it's in bad taste for children.
I saw you put something about erections on there, what's that about?
Thanks..

It probably is dumb, but I want to rent it when it comes out on video.

I think it looks amazingly stupid. And I'm sick of seeing commericals with the movie in them. It's driving me nuts.

I haven't seen it but in the previews, The Cat looks at a picture of the kids's mom and well lets just say the hat "expands".

Well you were right, it was #1 and it grossed 40 million dollars. I really wasn't expecting it to do that well, since it was lots of negative reviews and some of the jokes didn't seem right for a Seuss film.

I thought it was pretty bad. I saw it yesterday and even though 40 million may be good-it was probably expected to do better. Next weekend its gonna have a big down fall. The Grinch made over 250 million dollars in its run at the box office. Cat in the Hat is lucky if it breaks 110 million. Not that great if you really think about it.

I thought Mike Myers did a bad job playing the Cat. Hes acting was like on SNL. It was like in skits. i was ready to just finish this plot. The humor was sort of funny, but not laugh out loud & sometimes it got annoying. I felt like I was watching Austin Powers at times & thats really annoying when you are expecting something different. Overall the movie was not true to the book at all. I Suggest go watch the Grinch cos even though the cat in the hat is pretty to look at, i didn't find it at entertaining.

I took my 8 year old daughter to see it last weekend and I really enjoyed it as did she.

I was surprised to see Paris Hilton in it (wasn't expecting that) and I thought the "grown up" type humor that happened occasionally was not distasteful and it flew right over the head of my (and probably most) children because they have no idea what that stuff means.

I LOVED Thing 1 and Thing 2 and I think Dakota Fanning is one of the, if not the most, talented child actors I have ever seen and I completely enjoyed watching her.

It wasn't a waste for us to see it - my daughter wanted to see it again.

I'm so glad somebody has something nice to say about this movie because I want to see it this weekend. I've seen previews and I think it looks pretty good. :)

My mom won tickets over the radio.Let's just say I begged and pleaded not to go.The only reason I would want to see this movie is for Dakota Fanning, but she's just playing her usual obsessive compulsive little girl character.I'll see it when it comes out on DVD though but only for Dakota and the Paris Hilton thing.I'd like to see her in a movie where she's wearing clothes for a change.

I have never seen a truly HORRIBLE movie until I saw this one. The writing was AWFUL! I can't believe how BAD it was. Oh...dear...lord...it was SO bad. I dunno, I just...didn't laugh...at all. It was the first time I just wanted to get up and walk out of a theatre. I seriously considered taking the pins off my purse and stabbing my eyes out.

This is coming from the girl who usually likes EVERY movie and who LOOOOOOOOOOOOVES Mike Myers.

Mike Myers stared at her boobs for like 2 seconds in a rave.
