Quite Exciting :
In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Roseanne Barr stars as Maggie Hanks, a divorced mother of two adult children: Hannah (played by Sara Rue) and Brian (played by David Faustino). Maggie lives in a house mostly by herself, but she gets all sorts of guests. Maggie's mother, Barbara (played by Doris Roberts) lives with Maggie. Maggie being the oldest had to take in her mother after her father, Harold (played by Carroll O'Conner) dies of a heart attack. Maggie is forced to tolerate her too-much-involved mother. Maggie's son, Brian tends to stay at his mom's house on the weekends in his old bedroom. Brian is a single bachelor, who likes to bum off other people. He has a job as a freelance photographer. He jumps from girl to girl without care, until he meets Sarah Mendale, a fashion model, (played by Tara Reid) his life is soon to take a drastic turn. When after their first date, Sarah thinks she's pregnant. Yet it is not Brian's kid, but Sarah's baby's father is Bobby Chappfield (played by Luke Perry). Bobby denies getting her pregnant, feeling bad, Brian proposes to Sarah and will raise the baby as his own. Maggie's daughter, Hannah, doesn't live with her mother anymore, yet she is always there. Hannah lives in her own apartment with her wacky, drama-majored roommate, Libby Harper, (played by Ashley Johnson). Libby is still in college, getting her drama major. Libby is currently employed by Maggie, as her co-cleaning lady. Maggie and her ex-husband, Stan, (played by Ed O'Neill) got divorced because Stan was having an affair with his secretary, Candy Goldbloom (played by Christine Baranski). Stan and Candy are now married and live a block from Maggie-not by her choice.
Will Maggie handle living with her estranged mother? Will she handle living near her ex-husband and his new wife? Will Brian tell Maggie about Sarah and her baby? Will Sarah accept Brian's proposal? Will Libby and Maggie get along at work? Will Hannah find the man of her dreams?
