I have a picture I want to use as my new avatar, but it is too big. How do I make it smaller to make it fit?

LOL typically I am the wrong person for any computer related questions. What I did is just keep shrinking the picture (resizing it by pulling the corner in) until it was small enough to work. Usually I left click on the picture and hit "edit" and I can then grab the corner and resize it. On an older computer I had to save it as a bitmap file (bmp I think) and then resize it as above, but that causes it to discolor as my first Elaine pic did. Thats how I do it, it is probably the Polish way though ;)

Sounds like I'm about as technical as sinatrastar.
The process will vary slightly depending on what photo program is in your PC. Just open your picture, & find how to edit it down to size.
On mine I open the photo, then click "image" & then "resize."
But open it & go to your edit image tool, shrink it & save it.
It looks like maximum size of your custom image is 150 by 150 pixels or 25000 bytes (whichever is smaller).
I just shrink them 'til they look like they will fit, then if they don't, I shrink it a bit more, that's pretty primevil, but I usually have no trubs.
If it just doesn't seem to work for Brian, email me the dog gone pic, [& if approved ;) ] I'll size it and send 'em it back.
We'll get'sha hooked up.
