I still am trying to find out how Nick@Nite AND ABC Family can air it. As far as I know, Full House will be airing on both networks. I'll try to find out more sometime this week.

I wonder if it's like what they are doing with Roseanne? Oxygen airs it in the daytime, and N@N at Nite.
I am quite disappointed about the moving of FM so quick(2 months) out of that prime slot.
Positive aspects: The Full House/Family Matters/Step By Step back-to-back lineup.
The TGIF Christmas specials and the Christmas episodes on Sunday@2 things...
December looks exciting(except for FM's 1pm slot)
BTW: Full House 4 TIMES A DAY? GOD!!! 2 times a day would be enough.

Oh and one more thing... does ABC Family lose the rights to AFV? I noticed it's off the schedule?

Full House overkill. But then it's on ABCF when I'm not watching TV, so I'll stick with Nick.

What the hell! This pisses me off extremely.
1. I've just gotten back into Family Matters, (The early seasons are the best), and now they decide to move it to 11 and 11:30AM....right when I have class.
2. Full House already airs 4 times a day on another network, why do we need 8 episodes a day??? The Roseanne/FullHouse/Cosby Show overkill is getting extremely annoying.
3. Growing Pains gets moved to a really bad timeslot. At least it still has the 10 and 10:30PM airings, but 7 in the morning?
Also about Growing Pains, when you say 7AM, do you mean back to back episodes like the afternoon ones, or is it just one?
And I was just begining to like ABC Family too.

I only posted the changes, so if a slot is missing, it's the same as before. It will still air Saturdays at 12am.

I feel the same way... I am not a FH fan, but 4 hours a day is too much... I hope the 4 episodes a day thing is just in December at the least. I don't like many of the changes for December only, but I have a feeling, it will go back to the way it was in 2004(just by glancing at the weekend lineup starting 12/28)(which is a Sunday BTW, not a Saturday)
Oh Pav: I didn't even know it aired Saturdays@ Midnight. I just saw that it was out of the 11am weekday slot.

GP is just one I believe at 9am ET, if it was two, he would have had it twice like with FH, FM, SBS and others...
That Family Matters slot sucks.
I'm with you... I didn't even watch ABC Family period til right before FM started to come on... now I am watching FM and Step By Step.

One episode. 9:30am is "Living the Life," which is the 700 Club.

I forgot about this. Of course, they have to have a MK&A marathon, once again. Although I didn't see it coming, I'm not surprised that Full House will be on ABCFamily. I mean, ABCF needs EVERYTHING Olsen twin related.

So Little Time and Two o a Kind have been on the channel for so long and will probably be rerunned until the apocolypse. I'm fearing the same for Full House. And knwoing ABCFamily, they'll probably only play the later, Michelle oriented episodes.

Let's see:
Full House = N@N (4x) + ABC Family (4x)
The Cosby Show = N@N (4x) + TBS (2x) + WGN (2x?)
Roseanne = N@N (4x) + Oxygen (2x)
Cheers = N@N (2x) + Spike (2x)
Wings = N@N (1x)
If I'm wrong about the number of episodes a day of any of the shows, I apologize.
Full House / 8 times a day
The Cosby Show / 8 times a day
Roseanne / 6 times a day
Cheers / 4 times a day
Wings / 1 time a day
That's right ... I'm a Wings' fan.
Correction, an angry Wings' fan.
As for "Full House", I always thought ABC Family should show it since they have a crush on the Olsen twins. And I don't have a problem with any of the shows listed above. I'm just ticked off that they get shown so much. If only I was a fan of Wings when USA aired it 4 times a day.
Brent88
10-29-2003, 07:04 PM
I agree. Overkill on all of those, even though I do watch Roseanne a lot, it's usually the N@N episodes, because they are both within a couple of weeks of each other on the episodes they are airing...
You are correct on the number of airings, Cosby Show now has a full hour on WGN.
BTW: Roseanne airs 4 times a day on Oxygen: 12 to 1pm ET and 6 to 7pm ET.

Roseanne is on 4 times on Oxygen and Cheers is on 4 times on Spike.
As for ABCFamily, I'd prefer that it have Full House instead of N@N. IF it left N@N and just stayed on ABCFamily, I'd have no problem. I'd actually be happy with that (I still hate December's schedule, though.)
Brent88
10-29-2003, 07:49 PM
I wouldn't care if it's on both... it's just the 4 times a day on each network bugs me. How come Family Matters or some other sitcom isn't aired 8 times a day on two networks? It's sickening.
I emailed ABC Family about that schedule(about the only thing I like is the Family Matters Christmas episode hour-long blocks on December 12th and the 21st.) BTW: I do like the weekend lineup that starts December 28th, if Family Matters moves back to early evening or late afternoon on weekdays, I'll be happy.

I agree with you all on this stuff with two cable networks running the same show at the same time. It used happen just with TBS and WGN. Now there's Roseanne on N@N and Oxygen, Full House, The Cosby Show, Cheers on N@N and Spike. A sitcom only needs to be on for hour a day at most.
But I do think Cheers airing on Spike could be a good thing. If Cheers gets good ratings there, it's possible other N@N shows like Wings or Coach could get picked up.

Plus, Cheers slots on N@N and pushed so far back that only one is barely watchable (Although, being in Mountain Time makes it better since I get it at 11:30).

James, I think(and hope) most of the changes in December are because of the holidays. I don't watch The Wonder Years, but I just feel that at least some of the shows will go back to their old slots(Family Matters, Wonder Years) after the New Years...
BTW: Wonder Years will have 2 Christmas episodes on December 7th from 2 to 3pm ET.

I really hope "The Wonder Years" returns after the holidays.

I agree Somers. I actually wouldn't have a problem with it on ABC Family if it was just on for an hour a day(either 12 to 1pm or 6 to 7pm) both slots is what makes me mad.

I'm ready to see TV Guide's online Holiday calander. That's what I print off so I can see what's on, when it's on, etc.
It sucks about the Wonder Years. I have several tapes of the show when N@N did a week long marathon. That is a one-of-a-kind show.

So Full House is coming to ABC Family? Than will it continue to air on Nick at Nite? I think it fits much better on ABC Family expecially with shows like Family Matters and Step By Step. Even 7th Heaven even though that's a drama. But i hope they don't air the same exact episodes.

Yes, it will be on both channels. ABC Family has leased it for 5 years. I'm assuming Nick@Nite has a 5 year deal as well.

First post has been updated, with a few minor changes:
Weekdays
12:30 p.m. is Growing Pains
3:30 p.m. is Full House
Specials changes:
- TGIF Christmas episodes for Step by Step and Family Matters on Dec. 12 have been replaced by a movie (The Christmas List); Full House 7-8pm that night remains.
- Sundays @ 2pm Christmas episodes removed. Except on Dec. 21 @ 2, two Full House Xmas episodes (instead of Family Matters)
- New weekend line-up starting Dec. 28 removed (it is now: 12-1pm Full House, 1pm 7th Heaven, 3-7pm movies)

this obsession ABC Family has with the Olsen twins is SICKENING. I don't have a problem with the show being on the channel, but 4 times a day??? Plus 4 times 5 days of a week on N@N?
and all the specials have FH stuck in somewhere... it's NOT the only show on ABC Family! They take off Family Matters and Step By Step Christmas specials but leave Full House? What does that tell you?:(

Exactly my thoughts. I totally agree. I just don't get it. It's like The Cosby Show all over again. I like TCS, but I can't even sit through an episode anymore. Full House, it's wholesome and whatnot, but ugh...
And you're right ABC Family does have an obsession with the Olsen twins. Hell, even Fox Family did. Just be thankful those god awful "Mary Kate and Ashley Adventure" live-action shows aren't on... Fox Family aired those, and ugh...
Brent88
11-15-2003, 10:30 PM
The Cosby Show overkill is even worse, because it is just ONE show on 3 channels. It's on 8 times a day between the three and it just gets old.
Back to ABC Family... I like their direction(more sitcoms, less crap) but they seem to be going in reserve again.
Oh and why is ABC Family airing all these R-rated movies? They are supposed to be a Family-friendly network.

So basically they replaced every good special and show to show more Full House? I'm not surprised.
Every New Year's they have a MK&A marathon. They keep showing Two of a Kind/So Little Time even though each show only has 20 or so episodes. I swear to God, I've seen ever TOAK episode at least 350 times. They keep airing all their stupid, teenybopper movies over and over and over again, and it doesn't help that EVERY SINGLE MOVIE HAS THE SAME EXACT PLOT. And now Full House takes over.
I'm sick of this channel. If it wasn't for Growing Pains/Family Matters/Step by Step, I wouldn't even watch it.

I read an article in the NY Times that was published at the end of October(when the December schedule was first announced) and there is major turmoil at the channel. The ratings are flat(wonder why?) and the management doesn't get along well. I tell you, ABC Family would be a GREAT channel if they would dump most of the original programming(and have Sitcoms most of the day). They are never going to succeed changing their schedule every month and taking out(or cutting back on the airings of good shows to fill it with crap). I am also sick of Knock First, Switched, and all these stupid Romantic comedies.
With some new management, ABC Family could be a GREAT channel.

I wasn't meaning to find the article, but I was on mortystv.com yesterday where the schedules Pavanbadal posts are published and saw a little of it.

ABC Family January is in. Nothing much, so I will not create a new thread for it. No changes except the following:
Week of Jan. 12 and 19 ONLY:
9:30am-11:30am 700 Club Special
11:30am 7th Heaven
12:30pm Full House
Sunday, January 25 ONLY:
12pm-12am 700 Club Special
Notable stuff:
Sunday, January 4
2-4 p.m. The Facts of Life Reunion

YES!!! At least the 700 Club won't pre-empt the whole schedule for a whole week.

you people make me sick.
all of your "sitcoms" and "fun", what rubbish!
poetry is where its at! just read this!
ODE TO SITCOMS
you fools you hooligans what have you done
your "family matters" and "my three sons"
whats it about? just what makes you tick?
you're robots of society! you're all being tricked!
soon they will get you, those creators
those foolish fools, those filthy degraters!
they'll come to your house, they'll take you away
and you will be slaves for the rest of your days
so hear me now, you malicious gnomes!
protect all your children and lock up your homes!
for they will be coming in executive hoards
they will be coming, with swords and boards
but why? for what? whats the reason for this?
well my friend, they are very p****ed
we have not been watching enough of their shows
too many have said "you're program blows!"
so take my advice and do not trust strangers
if they offer you candy, then you are in danger.
well, thats it. pretty good, huh? see ya round then!

Thanks for the info, Brent88. I have all the Christmas specials on video that I taped off of ABC Family about 2 years ago where it used to be Fox Family. But "Full House" is going to be on this Monday. I like to watch these two shows on a regular basis. 6:00 is "Full House" and 6:30 is Gene Rayburn, Charles Nelson Reily and the gang on the other channel. That could be one sitcom and one sitcom related game show. 9:00 and 9:30 are the same.

BTW BrooklynGuy: The 6:30 Full House will be replayed the next day at 3:30pm ET in the afternoon. The 6pm showing will be replayed at Noon the next day. So, if you ever want to see an episode you miss, you will have another chance to watch it. Plus the 4 showings on weekends are repeats as well. It airs too much if you ask me, especially compared to everything else on that channel, Family Matters, Step By Step-10 times a week, Growing Pains-20 times a week(I think), Full House a WHOPPING 24 times a week, plus 24 times a week on N@N.
OVERKILL!

Full House overkill. But then it's on ABCF when I'm not watching TV, so I'll stick with Nick.
I know it is an overkill except for "Match Game" which it comes on both at 6:30 after that show starts Monday and at 9:30 also on the other channel. These two shows are both double overkill.
