Okay, here's the scenario. You've been abducted by Aliens, and they want to know what this thing known as a "Sit-Com" is. Your job is to give them 5 episodes - the BEST episodes) of any sit-coms that you feel would represent Sit-Coms at their best. Mix-and-match shows if you like, and you don't have to even know the *name* odf the episode as long as you can give the general plot in one line. For instance, here's my list:
(5) Happy Days - The episode where Fonzie is Joanie's partner for the dance marathon.
(4) Three's Company - The episode where Jack has to pretend to be his cowboy brother i order to fool Mr. Furley.
(3) WKRP In Cincinnati - The Thanksgiving Episode with all the turkeys being dropped from the helicopter.
(2) The Brady Bunch - The entire trip to Hawaii.
(1) Gilligan's Island - The one with the Radioactive Vegetables.
See how easy it is? your turn - which 5 episodes would you send the Aliens?

5.Curb Your Enthusiam-Ted & Mary
Larry thinks that Mary is mad at him for drinking her mother's water.
4.Mad About You-Bing, Bang, Boom
Paul and Jamie attempt to have sex but tons of things including Fran, Jamie's mom, an electric blanket Patsy Cline, Jimi Hendrix and that damn mouse get it the way.THUD!
3.Sports Night-La Fava Del Destino (I think that's what it's called)
The 2nd-to-last episode of Sports Night. It's actually better than the last episode, which left a lot to be desired.Dana meets a strange guy who can, basically, predict the future.
2.Mad About You-The Final Frontier
The series finale of this fine program. Not the funniest episode ever but one of the most touching and the best series finale of all-time.Paul and Jamie's daughter Mabel (Janene Garafolo) tells what happened to all of the characters (Ursulla Buffay, a favorite of Mad About You and Friends fans is now the Governor of New York).
1.The Office-Training
It's hard to explain the episode but it's hysterical! Actually, every episode of that show is.Basically, it's David and this guy (I think his name is Ruben) trying to train the staff but Tim's feelings for the newly single Dawn and David's constant bragging of his former rock star past get in the way.A Must-Watch!
Honroable Mentions:
Friends-TOW Underdog Gets Away
The 1st (and best) Friends Thanksgiving episode.Monica and the gang are forced to eat nothing but Cheese on Thanksgiving when all the other food is burnt..
Mad About You-The Late Show
Ira might have gotten Fran pregnant.
Curb Your Enthusiasm-Club Soda & Salt
Larry,Ted and Jeff scramble to find a new chef for the restaurant after Randy quits.

Here are my Top 10, which have remained unchanged for the last 10 years or so:
#10---THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW---"Gomer Pyle, USMC" (May 18, 1964, 2 weeks before I was born!)
The pilot episode for the popular series, where Gomer gets drafted into the Marines and is mistaken for the son of a war hero. Features the first of a long series of battles with Sgt. Carter.
9. BEWITCHED---"Samantha and the Beanstalk" (Sept. 18, 1969)
Lacking a playmate, Tabitha conjures up Jack from "Jack and the Beanstalk" (played brilliantly by "Family Affair"'s Johnnie Whittaker) from her storybook.
8. THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES---"The Thanksgiving Story" (Nov. 27 1968)
The Clampetts decide to spend Thanksgiving in Hooterville where they meet the casts of "Green Acres" and "Petticoat Junction".
7. HAPPY DAYS---"Fonzie Moves In" (Sept. 9, 1975)
Fonzie rents the apartment upstairs from the Cunningham house for himself despite Howard's objections.
6. LEAVE IT TO BEAVER---"Wally's Test" (Jan. 27, 1960)
Eddie and Lumpy accuse Wally of cheating on a history test so they devise a sneaky plan to get even which naturally backfires.
5. THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW---"Coast To Coast Big Mouth" (Sept. 15, 1965)
A true TV classic which I'm sure is on many a fan's list. Laura accidentally reveals Alan Brady's biggest secret during an appearance on a TV game show.
4. THE MONKEES---"Captain Crocodile" (Feb. 20, 1967)
The host of a TV kiddie show fears the Monkees are trying to upstage him. Features the delightfully nutty "Your Auntie Grizelda".
3. LEAVE IT TO BEAVER---"In The Soup" (May 6, 1961)
One of the most fondly remembered episodes by the show's fans. This is the one where Beaver falls inside the soup bowl and can't get himself out.
2. THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY---"A Knight In Shining Armour" (March 19, 1971)
Bobby Sherman appears as a struggling songwriter who meets up with a strange but lovable sidekick in order to sell his songs to the Partridges.
#1---HERE'S LUCY---"Lucy and Donny Osmond" (Nov. 20, 1972)
The cream of the crop by a wide margin! Lucy's daughter Kim wins a dream date with teen idol Donny Osmond and Mom naturally tags along. Featuring my favourite Brady Eve Plumb in a guest appearance. Note also the rare absence of Gale Gordon from this episode.
There you have it. My picks for my favorite episodes of all time. Check your favourite show's board for more specific choices by series.
