What did it rank it the ratings. I've heard for previous people on this site it did horrilbe in the ratings. and nearly got cancelled by ABC.
But then I went to nickatnite.com and they said "Roseanne" was in the top 20 it's whole run which would include the last season. So who is right?

The ratings plummeted in the 9th season. The 3rd through 8th season was it's high. N@N is not right.

But where is your proof? Do any of you know of a site where it tells of ratings from the past? So I can see for myself.

TV To Me lists it, even tho the first 2 seasons it was actually tied at #1 with Cosby, but TVToMe gave it #2 instead.

The first 5 seasons the show was in the top 3 (and only #3 in the third season, back to #2 in the fourth and fifth seasons). Season 6 was when it dipped a little, dropping to #4. Then it kinda freefell in later seasons, season 7 was #8 or #10 I think, and it was in the teens in the 8th season, and in the 30's the last year.

The final episode finished at #15 in the ratings that week :( more people cared about the freaking Mad About You baby (Jamie gave birth the same night and time as the final Roseanne aired)

I got the ratings out of The Complete Directory To Primetime Network And Cable Tv Shows book and it was not ranked in the top 30 for the last season. I don't know of a website though. Sorry.

I tried Google once, you can find old 96-97 Nielsons, it was awhile since I saw it, but Roseanne was something like #33 for the season

Thanks guys. Was that site tvtome.com because I couldn't find the ratings there?

So from what I understand you all say that in the last season "Roseanne" was in the 30's. That actually isn't all that bad. It isn't great for a show that was in the top 5 alot of it's run but lots of shows stay on for year in the 30's. So the show probably averaged around 11 or 10 million viewers it's last season.

No, I found it at this site: http://www.entertainmentscene.com/top_tv_shows_90s.html

I read that it was 2 in the first season, 1 in the second season, 2 in the third season, 2 in the fourth season, 3 in the fifth season, 4 in the sixth season, 9 in the seventh season, 15 in the eighth season, and 35 in the last season. throughought its run it was averaged at an altogether rank of 8, making it the 17th show of all time. I read that from the nielson sitcom ratings.
