I don't think she's a dog, but I she's homely and sorry, but your picture confirms it.:p I'll never understand why some people think someone is automatically pretty because they pile on makeup and appear on tv. LOL Penny is an insecure, clingy, high maintenance homely woman. And men go for her type, right? Uh huh. LOL

Actually, we do. I will admit, those kind of relationships don't end well, but it's never a boring ride.

And they make for a more interesting character on a sitcom.
The pretty girl on a sitcom just has to look pretty, and be an object for the men to persue. The other girls in the cast have to attract attention in other ways, like being funny or offbeat. So they usually get the best lines.

I'll take a girl with the best lines any day. I think Penny is very attractive.

And no Janice, I didn't watch "Good Morning Miami" last night, I'm boycotting the show until they bring back the Nun.

Well I don't go for that type, but I guess there has to be one or two men out there who do go for the squatty, beady eyed, big nosed woman . ;) And for what it's worth, I don't find anything funny about Penny's lines. I think the writers think they're being oh so clever but they try too hard and fall flat on their face as a result. :p

No offense, but how do you find her clingy & high maintenance? When she & Jake got together, she suggested that they just be sex buddies. That doesn't seem very clingy or high maintenance at all, but maybe that's just the way I see things, lol.

Any woman who constantly whines and feels sorry for herself because a guy doesn't like her isn't desirable in my eyes. Penny spent much of last season obsessing over Jake wanting Dylan. She needed to get a life. Men don't go for insecure crybabies. ;)

Penny is by far more attractive than Dylan.

But then again what do I know, I just think Jaclyn Smith is the best looking angel and Victoria Principal is the best looking lady on Dallas, so what do I know.

Victoria and Jacyln were gorgeous. Jaclyn still is beautiful. I honestly think people say Penny is pretty to be nice and PC.:rolleyes:

You're right. My apologies. It's a huge world out there and everyone is bound to be found attractive by someone in this world. I was only thinking of how when people talk about the show at work. They say Penny has a cute face, but they say it in a sad way like they're talking about a puppy dog or something. It evokes pity in my mind. Kind of how people used to say in a halfhearted way that Andrea was pretty on 90210 but it never seemed to come from their heart. It's like listening to people try to encourage the dowdy girl to keep wearing makeup. anyway, if you people actually find her attractive then more power to you. It's nice to see that people have an unconventional look on beauty. I didn't mean to call you liars. I wouldn't say I'm in the minority though. Just because three or four people have an openmind about beauty on this board, doesn't make for a majority. People who choose to post on this board are really encouraging and nice. It's much different atmosphere than the people on the AOL and Yahoo boards who don't seem to share the opinion here.

Even though I don't really like this show I do like Penny, I found her funny and I think she's defintely prettier than Dylan, imo.

That's the only photo you've ever seen of her but you know it's not retouched? :rolleyes: Methinks someone just likes to argue. Huntington, it's your turn.:p And I love women. That's why I'm able to be honest about their looks. No sense in lying just to be nice.

I won't be watching it either my reason is simple. To many cast changes. The show has already gotten rid of character I like the most on the show, which now makes it worse. They got rid of the Nun and the Latino woman. The 2 best characters.

I will still watch, but I am disappointed that the nun is no longer on. She was hilarious. But I'm VERY pleased that Tessie Santiago is gone. I felt that she was absolutely useless to the show.
