What did everyone think?
I thought it was REALLY good... It wasn't a laugh out loud sitcom but a very well done and cute sitcom, it fits well into ABC's lineup and I'll definately keep watching it! The two stars were excellent

benjamoon,
What the heck is the name of the group and song at the end of the show? Sounds like Sting but i could not understand the words. Any help would be great.
Thanks.

I enjoyed it, I liked the characters - "Stevie" is a tad annoying - a little Stevie goes a looong way and all....
but there were some painful moments tooo, hard to tell if this show is gonna make the cut, they dont give new shows too much of a chance these days....

Does Chris Hency look like the main character. probably not because she doesn't look anything like Brooke Shields.
I did not watch this show because i hate abc. i pretty much stopped watching abc.
cancelled every show i liked and loved.
so maybe this show will live, but not likely considering it didn't really have great followup numbers

I liked it. I wish it had a theme song though but I guess ABC has done away with them for sitcoms. I thought the 2 stars had great chemistry.

Hmm well I thought it was very well made and all the characters were great and the show was practically perfect besides for one thing.... it just wasn't that funny and thats the main purpose of a sitcom. so I dunno, I'll give it one more chance. if the second episode isn't funnier then i'll stick to watching Happy Family instead.

I thought it was great. It was something different. It got great ratings last night, thanks to lead in 8 Simple Rules.

I wanted to like it because it was a neat and fresh idea and I really want a solid show to follow 8 Simple Rules but it really was just kind of painfull and unfunny to me and I agree about the lack of theme songs in sitcoms these days. Fraiser was really the first hit sitcom(im probably wrong) that I can remeber at the moment without a theme song. And now very few of them do. It annoys me.

I absolutely loved I'm With Her. It had all the right ingredients. A great love story with some serious laughs. Personally, I thought Stevie stole the show. That guy was hilarious. When he licked that phone I nearly crapped my pants. I'm definately watching next week.

I thought this was the best new comedy ABC has had in years. Its more like a comedy-drama. I just hope it can make it a full year. It is a lot better than Less than Perfect.

What are you talking about? I'm With Her has a theme song. It's by Sugar Ray and its called "Is She Really Going Out With Him". Frazier also has a theme song too. Kelsey Grammer sings it.

As someone who somehow managed to miss the first four episodes of "I'm With Her" (hope I get to see them in reruns!), I caught onto it rather late, but yes, it is a cute show. Stevie is annoying but he's true to life; I've known a couple of guys like that! I wonder if this show needs a little something, though. Maybe a fifth character is needed.
Anyway, I still think it's off to a good start, and it looks like it'll last the whole season. Good thing, too, because I can use a cute laugh these days!

He's actually quite handsome, but more so than David Sutcliffe. Go figure. (But not as handsome as I am! ) You can check out Chris Henchy's photo in the September 15, 2003, issue of People magazine. (His wife is on the cover!)

Now those of us who missed the first episode of "I'm With Her" back in September - including me - will get to see it! :)
But beware - the crucial South Carolina primary is tonight, which means Peter Jennings will probably make us miss the first episode's equally crucial dog bite scene! Let's hope we don't miss much!

Oh yes, this was a sweet way to start the series! :) I enjoyed every moment of it - especially the end, even though it was a little bit corny - who writes this crap? And Peter Jennings was kind enough to let us see this rerun uniterrupted (he waited for a commercial break at the end). Great beginning to a wonderful show!

The returns from the presidential primaries were known in the late afternoon/early evening here on the west coast, so I figured Portland would be free of election coverage when I'm with Her rolled around in the prime time lineup. Yeah!
But then I remembered that we had a minor local election going on, the first results of which would not be announced till a half hour before I'm with Her was to begin. How was our ABC affiliate going to handle the schedule? If they messed up this particular broadcast, would there be another chance to get it? I didn't hold out a lot of hope for that. How many times is any one episode going to be aired in one season?
*high five to the broadcast gods*
I couldn't have asked for anything better. Our affiliate, KATU, had a half hour of local election coverage at 8 PM, ended right on time, and never interrupted I'm with Her in any way, shape, or form. They didn't even windowbox the picture and run continuing results from the election along the bottom. They saved that for According to Jim. The broadcast was perfect.
And what a wonderful episode it was! After getting as much into this show as I have in the time since its debut, it was a delicious treat to finally see how it all began. I had caught bits and pieces during its original broadcast, but wasn't able to focus on it at the time. This time I was front and center for every moment.
Among the highlights: Alex calls Patrick for the first time; Stevie picks up, and when he hears who it is, he licks the phone. That was a knee-slapper. Definitely one of the funniest moments I've seen on a sitcom in a while. And the ending was beautiful. Using Coldplay's "Clocks" over the action punctuated it perfectly. It struck just the right chord with me. A superb start to a superb show. It was worth the wait. :)
