What do you all think of this guy?
I think he's a bit of a nut. I mean just what is spending 44 days in a box going to achive? It's not even been a week and already David is getting abuse. So far he's had to put up with:
People pelting him with eggs,
A group of golfers teeing off from Tower Bridge in his direction, pelting him with golf balls.
Girls bearing their breasts at him before lobbing their fish and chips in his direction
and a steady stream of eggs, bottles, bananas and general abuse.
One man even brought along a Bhangra drum to keep him awake, but managed to keep residents on both sides of the river awake into the bargain, and he was quickly silenced by the local council noise department.
Apparently a two metre high wire fence has been put up around his box and the amount of security guards has been doubled!
I think it's rather ridiculous though I do feel sorry for the guy concerning the hassle he's been getting. Yet I do have to say I find it kind of funny as well.
One of my friends who lives and works in London drives through Tower Bridge every morning and evening and hs complained that traffic there is even worse than usual because everyone's stopping to look at Blaine all the time.
One of my neighbours kids dragged their parents upto London on a day trip just so they could stare at Blaine in his box. LOL.
I don't get the appeal. It's just a guy in a box, nothing more. Though in a weid way I admire the dude for having the guts to try out something so wacko and pointless. I wonder what he'll be like at the end of day 44?
