Eve- I Wonder How Long Her Show Will Last

I've seen commercials for her new show coming this fall & it doesn't look that good to me. She works at a clothing store i think on the show & she's looking for the right man. I saw her on the new TV Weekly that i always get delivered to me on Saturdays when i get the newspaper. She looks so good. Natalie Dessele plays on the show as Eve's friend & Brian Hooks is also on the show. Natalie was Bill Bellamy's sister in How To Be A Player movie & she was Halle Berry's friend in BAPS movie. Brian played in the movies 3 Strikes, Phat Beach, High School High.

it doesn't look good either. i think it looks stupid and i will not be watching. she was okay in The Barbershop but that doesnt mean that she deserves her own show.

I agree Felicitylen. I don't think her show is gonna be good but i'll check it out. She's gonna be returning for Barbershop 2. They're filming it right now i read.

She doesn't look that good in the picture up above but she's far from ugly. She looked good to me in Barbershop movie the way she had her hair done. Sometimes she can look good to me depending on how she has her hair done LOL. A lot of the hairstyles she wears doesn't work for her especially when she first came out with Ruff Ryders & she had that white natural hair hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Yes, I so remember when she came out with that. The girl was wrong! (lol)

One tv critic said that EVE does not look good on TV and needs to stick to rapping-LOL

I might be the only one but she is beautiful to me. I think she has a unique style, different than what I have been seeing. I don'tlisten to rap music, but she was funny in barbershop.

I watched her show last night & i was impressed. It was good for the first episode. I just hope she can keep it up every episode. Brian Hooks who is the first person on the left in the picture up above was very funny last night. He's a funny guy anyway. I saw him in the movie 3 Strikes with Faizon Love, David Alan Grier, Meagan Good, rapper E-40. I wonder why the guy who's standing next to Eve in the picture up above wasn't on the show last night. He's from my hometown Cleveland. His real name is Bumper Robinson & he used to play on A Different World as Jada Pinkett's boyfriend. I see Eve's boyfriend from the Barbershop movie was on the show last night & he's gonna be a regular on there. He played on Platinum tv show with rapper Sticky Fingaz of Onyx. I miss Platinum. I loved that show & Sticky Fingaz sister on the show was hot. I like the white girl in the picture up above. She was kinda funny last night & she's cute. I think that white guy in the picture up above with the accent was corny last night.

From what I heard, Bumper was supposed to take the place of that guy who played Eve's boyfriend. The "white girl" is Ali Landry she was the doritos girl. She used to do commercials for doritos. Also, to be honest, I don't think this show will last. It will be gone like Abby and Platinum.

I also agree felicitylen, I was saying the same thing about Eve being alright in the Barbershop, but I didn't think she could pull off her own show.

About the show, it was mediocre at best, Eve's acting does need improvement especially for a comedy series. I think the supporting cast shined a lot more than Eve did. I will continue watching because it is something to watch and maybe over time (assuming it won't get cancelled so quickly) it will improve.

Eve is doing better than the Parkers in the Neilsen Ratings. Eve is ranked 95 and the Parkers is ranked 99.

I think The Parkers is ranked #99 because Kim isn't on there. Eve should really be ranked #99. :rolleyes:

I think Countess Vaughn (Kim) is on maternity leave. Of course her character wasn't pregnant.

Kim seems to be getting dumber and dumber each season! Which is a shame!

What's confusing about Eve is why her character named Shelley if "Eve" is the name of the show?

I also agree that her acting his a bit stiff and not really lead material. Her black partner in her shop is a riot though! She was in How to be A Player!

Marvin i saw Natalie Dessele in How To Be A Player too. She was Bill Bellamy's sister & Mari Morrow was her best friend. Mari is a hottie. How To Be A Player is a funny movie. I used to have it on tape. I gotta buy that movie. Marvin remember when J Anthony Brown was talkin about those 2 fat boys while he was cooking on the grill? LOL. AJ Johnson was hilarious too & of course Bernie Mac was silly as hell. Remember when he said to his wife, it smell like badussy in here, booty, d**k, p***y? Hahahahahahahahaha.

I liked How To Be a Player too, especially when Bill got busted in the end. I brought it way back on dvd for like $10.00, but I know now they have it on dvd in Walmart on sale for like $5.88, just to let you know isiahthomas so you can buy it. But also Natalie was in BAPS with Halle, now that's a movie I can't seem to find on dvd.

About the show being called Eve and her name being different in the show, well that doesn't really bother me because Bill Cosby had the Cosby Show and Cosby and both of the characters he played on these shows had different names from the titles. And before settling on The Parkers, the show was about to be called Mo'Nique. I'm sure there are other shows like that too, but I just can't think of them right now.

I saw Natalie in BAPS movie too. LOL@Halle Berry's teeth in that movie. Jermaine Hopkins who was the fat dude in How To Be A Player that was Bill Bellamy's friend, he called Max Julien a pimped out Yoda hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

The soundtrack to How To Be A Player was tight too. I liked the songs by Foxy Brown, Junior Mafia & Mase, Redman, EPMD, Richie Rich & Rick James, Made Men & Havoc of Mobb Deep, 2Pac.
