I don't know if anybody's a fan but I just heard Charles Bronson died. I can't say I was a huge fan, but I have a scrapbook of newspaper articles on celebrity deaths, so I keep track of all that. Morbid, huh? Been doing it for years.

I remember watching Bronson's Deathwish movies as a kid and thought they were very disturbing. Then again, I was a kid!!

Charles Bronson starred in two of my favorite films; "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Great Escape." He was an awsome big screen tough guy.

I really enjoyed his movies. Half the fun for me was hearing his dry one-liners & seeing the way he got the bad guys back. You knew what you were in for when you saw a Bronson flick. He was also amazing in The Great Escape.
The guy was so intensly private. I've never seen an interview with him.

A friend of mine who worked in Hollywood, said that films like Death Wish & Dirty Harry (Eastwood, I know) were a reaction to the left-oriented movies of the late 60s like Easy Rider, for ex.

It's a drag to see that generataion of Hollywood actors dying out. We're stuck with "singers" trying to act & another "American Pie" film every year...

RIP Charles. I was a fan of his Death Wish movies. I've only seen 3 & 4. I'm gonna have to rent the first 2. I heard the first one is a classic. I didn't know he made a 5th Death Wish. I'm gonna have to check that out. I also saw his Murphy's Law movie. I never saw any of his western movies. Him, Chuck Norris, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold ruled the 80's with their action movies. Golan & Globus did a lot of Charles's movies in the early 80's. They were distributed by Cannon pictures right? Cannon did a lot of tight action movies in the 80's like The Delta Force 1 & 2, Hero & The Terror, Firewalker with Chuck Norris & Louis Gossett Jr wasn't that bad, Bronson Assassination, Death Wish 4, Murphy's Law. Charles parents had 15 kids & Charles was the 11th kid. That's a lot of kids. He had to wear his sisters dresses when he was a kid cause his parents were poor. That's sad.

I'm not a big fan of Charles Bronson and his action movies. He would be missed by millions of fans everywhere.

"Death Wish" was great and so was "Once Upon a Time in the West," but I've also seen him on old movies on TV going back to the early 50s.
