Lecy's last episode?

We all know Lecy's last episode for the whole show was "Springtime For David" and then after that she was just gone from the series and Sarah Chalke played her breifly in one or two episodes but in Season 5 was "Terms of Estrangement" her last episode for that season?

Acutally, in the episode where Dan is in the hospital for his heart attack, Lecy and Sara have one last moment together in the kitchen (Lecy's doing laundry and Sara's fixing the garbage disposal) is Lecy's last episode as Becky. Her last episode of season five was at the beginning of an episode called Good Girls Bad Girls, where Darlene and Molly go to a rock concert.

Thanks, that's one of the few episodes I have yet to see. I saw the Wedding one and I know Sarah Chalke played Becky in that one.

I'm new to Roseanne. Why was Becky's character written off?

The way I understand it is, the actress who originally played Becky went off to college and so the character was written off. However, they left the part open if she wanted to return. When it became obvious that she wasn't going to return, they cast a new actress to play the part. The original actress returned for a few episodes in season 8.
