I Just saw 4 clips from Woody Allen's new comedy "Anything Else" and they were hysterical. It looks as though Woody has come out of his slump (which includes the so-so movies "Hollywood Ending" and "The Curse Of The Jade Scorpian") and is back to what he does best (NYC-set Romantic Comedies). This movie looks sort of like a modern day "Annie Hall".I'm looking forward to it.

I haven't seen one Woody Allen film in my whole life- which is surprising cos his films are always on tv now.

I have also heard that "Anything Else" is one of Woody's best comedies in years. I have always felt that the Woodman has been cranking out too many mediocre films instead of concentrating on giving us a great one.
While I had reservations about him casting Jason "American Pie" Biggs in a movie, all signs point to a hit.
I'm looking forward to it. He should stick to New York Comedies.

That's good to hear. Actually, though, I enjoyed "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion," although it wasn't in a league with his greatest films. My favorites would have to be "Annie Hall" and "Love and Death."

I've never really enjoyed a Woody Allen film ever.

This movie looks good, though I don't know if I'll be able to see it.
