Guys,
I have always loved movies and people's reactions to them. I thought it would be cool if I asked some interesting questions about people's movie going experiences that would allow them to reflect on movies of the past. (I think this can develop into a very interesting thread)
1. What was the first movie that you remember seeing as a child? Did you like it, hate it, or have no opinion?
2. What was the first time you went to a drive in movie? Does anyone out there still live in a city or a community that still has the drive in's? What movie do you recall seeing at a drive in? Do you miss drive-in movies?
3. What is/was your favorite movie food? Do you think that movie food has gotten better or worse over time or stayed the same?
4. What is your biggest pet peeve with regard to going to the movies?
5. What is the best/worst movie experience you have ever had? (I am not talking about a good or bad movie here, I am talking about problems with the theature, rude people, bratty/noisy kids..ect)
6. For Those of you with cable or satalite dish: Do you order PPV movies? Do any of you have I-Control? (The ability to have VCR like control over the movies you order for 24 hours after ordering without a VCR.)
7. Relating to question #6 Do you like ordering PPV, or do you like buying or renting VCR tapes and DVD's better?

MOVIE ANSWERS
1. First movie I remember seeing was Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. Loved it!!!
2. Willy Wonka was at the local drive in. We don't have drive-in's anymore. I do miss them, and always thought they were cool!
3. Large Popcorn with butter and sometimes Milk Duds or Junior Mint Candies. Our local drive in had pizza and hot dogs but my parents never got that stuff because they said it was so expensive. I heard that drie-in movie theatres would put subliminal messages on screen during intermissions making people hungry to go to consession stands! (I think they stopped doing that after awhile.) Movie food I think has gotten worse. More expensive and crappy quality.
4. Noisy and unrully kids
5. Worst movie experience, parents taking me to see Mary Poppins cause I hated that laughing man in that movie! He frightened me really badly! (I closed my eyes and shut my ears during that whole scene because I was so scarred.)
6. Sometimes I get PPV but not too often. There is nothing out there that is really all that great. We have cable, and also have I-Control
7. Everything is cable for me and my family...movies, sports, everything. The VCR isn't used that much.
