I think they should've left Buffy in the 6 & 7 timeslots, but that's just my opinion.

Beverly Hills 90210 is on weekdays again? AWESOME! MWC on 4 times a day is kinda cool but I really don't wanna get sick of it just before the first season is released in October.

Must they run Buffy and MWC four times a day? Looks like N@N started this annoyng trend where you overexpose a few shows while leaving others in the dust. If they cut down on the airings, they could fit a lot more shows on they're sked. But then again, this is FX, so I wasn't expecting anything great.

:D I am glad Buffy is on four times a day. But really it is only two episodes a day, the morning episodes are repeats from the previous night.

Married...With Children could still be gone. Since it is expiring, unless they renew it. I'll know by next week if it will continue to air in September. Right now, that schedule above is from the Sept 2-5 grid. They haven't released anything else yet. I don't think any other changes will happen on weekdays though in September, so expect that schedule for the rest of the month.

Same as Cosby. I believe the midnight airings are the same airings for the next night at 9PM. Still, they could take two airings of MWC and Buffy off and find some other, less exposed shows, to fill in those three hours. It'd attract more viewers if you had more variety than just repeats.

I was quite pleased about the 4 airings of Buffy when I was recording the show. You screw up during the night airings, you got another chance to get them. But, I'm done recording Buffy. I usually do the several copies thing, but with Buffy I'm not doing that. I don't watch the morning airings, so I wouldn't get sick of the show anyway. But I kind of do see what Chris (OP) is getting at. Leave Buffy on, just kind of change it to something different for the morning airings, I mean.

Yea, I'm not trying to badmouth the show (I neither like it nor hate it), just saying that overexposure can be a bad thing. I actually prefer shows that are shown once a day as opposed to twice or more, because it takes longer to get through the rotation, thus taking longer to take in and savor the episodes. lol I know it sounds dumb, but you kind of get more excited before each airing. You can look forward to episodes for 5 months (as opposoed to like 2 /12 or 3). However, if the show went on for really long (Like 7+ seasons) then it's nice to see it twice a day. lol Or else itd' take you about a year before you see one whole rotation.

Too much Buffy. Not enough good TV.

Long ago, back in the stone ages, networks would only show *gasp!* one episode of each show per day!!!!!!!

Those were the good old days.

I agree 100%. That's exactly how I feel.

Married ... with Children, even if only briefly, on at 3 and 6 is quite nice, but it will be overkill soon. Buffy needs to be knocked back down to two airings, and to keep fans happy, give it a few weekend slots too. 90210 back on weekdays is the best thing on the schedule, IMO of course, though the timeslot sucks for me. I'm so relieved MASH is gone. I'm not a fan of it, but I don't hate it either (unlike what I said, lol) it was just pure overkill, and Hallmark will be doing the same.

I wish Ally McBeal could have gotten a better timeslot and I really wish Cops wasn't coming to FX.

Speaking of Cops and Cops-related shows, Reno 911 is a much more honest version of Cops. :D

That schedule looks awful nor does it look interesting. They should at least put a COUPLE of sitcoms on there like THE SIMPSONS, Futurama or Malcolm In the Middle. They definitely need to cut down on some of the shows they have on there especially Buffy, the Vampie Slayer.

Well Turner has the rights to Futurama, so I doubt it'll ever end up on F/X. Plus, it's been doing amazing in the ratings on CN and TBS, so I doubt they'd let go of the rights.

FX has a lot of new shows coming soon. King of the Hill next fall (2004). More include: That '70s Show, Dharma & Greg, Malcolm in the Middle and Bernie Mac, all in the future, for exact dates check their respective boards.

May I ask a few questions, Pavanbadal. You might only be able to answer one of my questions on here. But still I'd like to ask the second question, even if you can't answer it on here. 1) When did FX start showing Buffy? and 2) How many years do they have rights?

Thanks ahead of the time if you can answer my questions, Pav. :)

1.) Buffy came in September 2001, along with Ally McBeal and The Practice. The latter two thus far have been duds.

2.) I think a $65 million dollar deal for four-years, with an option for 5th year. So basically a 5 year deal, if they want to air it the 5th year.

I'm not complaining about the 4 airings of Buffy a day, but Pavanbadal would you know why FX is airing it 4 times a day? Why isn't Ally or The Practice being over-played like Buffy? Just wondering.

The reason Ally and the Practice aren't overplayed is because, as pav said, they've been duds in the ratings.

When they debuted, though, FX was anchoring their primetime lineup around Ally McBeal. Seemingly, bad ratings did away with that after a couple months.

For some reason, though, people watch Buffy, which means FX is overplaying it so people watch their channel.

Pav, feel free to correct me, or confirm my hypothesis without the sarcasm :D

Jenny, Obsolete Man is exactly correct. LOL, you know what the sad thing is--I think an episode on FX once had more viewers than UPN! Now that's sad!

So basically it's like reality shows in a way. I think they've gone way overboard, but they are only giving the people what they want. If everybody stopped watching them, they'd go away. So as long as people watch it, they'll shove them down your throat and make more.

Again, thanks Pav for answering my question. :)

It doesn't surprise that FX is over-running Buffy and Married with Children. They are the kings of over-running the same shows. At least we can look forward to watching 4 hours of King of the Hill and Dharma and Greg a day next year.
