Yes. Exactly. I hate MTV. And even when VH1 isn't playing music videos, they have something interesting on...

I'm always the first one to defend MTV, but their summer programming has been AWFUL this year! All I can watch on MTV now is "The Osbournes" "The Real World," and the rare times they play videos. VH-1 is even worse though- they should change their name to E!|2.
I'm glad I still have MTV|2, and Fuse as refuge.

those shows like Taildaters and Burned suck, and with VH1 you don't have to get VH2 for the videos

The only good shows left on MTV are Real World, Road Rules, and the challeneges. Other than that, MTV is useless to me. :D

VH1 :rocks:
MTV SUX :p
Actually, they're both pretty bad. And they're both Viacom ventures. VH1 was originally created in the mid-'80s to become the baby-boomers' answer to MTV - music videos catered at an older audience, with more mature musical taste. In the last few years, it's just become MTV3, abandoning its "no hard rock or rap" promise and featuring less and less music programming.
I know Fuse has been evolved from MuchMusic USA, but I'd really like to see a new music video channel launch, featuring only music videos - blending current and contemporary clips.

There's a VH1 channel that plays only music videos, mostly from the 1980s. I think it's VH1 Classic or VH1 2 but I'm not sure.

Yeah, it's VH1 Classic. I used to like it quite a bit, but about a year ago, they shifted quite heavily to '80s buttrock.
Geez, I should change my nickname on here to "Mr. Grump."

They also broadcast some older movies that I like and MTV doesnt show any movies. I like VH1 better than MTV.

Fuse does show quite a few videos, but they are mostly the same ones...and now they are coming out with shows that aren't centered around music videos as much, which is what I think draws most people to Fuse anyway...
I usually just stick to watching Power Fuse when nothing else is on, and Oven Fresh.
But, I will admit, their new "Beach House" commercials are hilarious!
