Does anyone else think Lois & Clark is the best Superman show? I love that show.

Yes, it is. I remember watching the first two seasons on ABC. I didn't watch it much during seasons three and four though, but I did watch them on TNT. Now I haven't missed an episode yet on TBS after one cycle and one season, they are now on season two the second time.

I do! It's one of my all time fav. series. Teri and Dean have amazing chemistry.

Which Jimmy did you like Michael Landes or Justin Whalin? I loved Justin because he made Jimmy so different and not whimpy like ML's Jimmy was, and he had better chemistry with Teri, Dean and Lane Smith(Perry):)

I'm glad you brought up the Jimmy thing, is it true they fired Michael because he looked a little like Dean Cain? I read that at TV Tome and another L&C website.

I think that was part of it, I read at a Lois and Clark board that they got a new producer for the show, and he fired Michael Landes, John Shea, Tracy Scoggins, and Deborah Joy Levine(Lois and Clark creator)

Here's the board if you want to know more, you will have to register but they can answer any questions you have there:

Lois & Clark is one of my favourite shows. Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain are the best.

Same here. For some reason I can't explain why, but I like the first Jimmy better.

Well, I guess I'm different from the rest of you folks here, because I can't STAND "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman"!! Let me count the reasons why:

1. Teri Hatcher. Lord Jesus, was there ever such an annoying actor in the history of drama than her? Sure, she's pretty and all, but she's also such a @#$!&**!!in' airhead, it's enough to make a man scream!! (Dana Delaney on "Superman, The Animated Series" made a better {and SPUNKIER} Lois Lane than Teri Hatcher ever did!!)

2. Dean Cain. THIS is "Superman"? Honestly, does he look like he last two rounds with Batman (the Adam West version) without getting his kiester handed to him? I THINK NOT!! (Besides, he's WAYYY too pretty to pull off the rugged masculinity that is required to portray Superman correctly...and his Clark Kent was a little TOO mild-mannered for my tastes!!)

3. The Writing. You know, there are times when a little camp can do wonders for a fantasy show (after all, we ARE talking about a series in which the protaganist is a blue-tights wearing avenger who flies thru the air and leads a double-life, right?), but this show just wallowed in silliness, insulting not only to the general populace, but to people who loved these characters from the comics, movies and the SUPERIOR 1950s version!!

4. The Wedding. This is ALWAYS death on regular tv shows...why'd they think it would be different here? Furthermore, who the hell wants to watch a show about a superhero with earthbound marriage problems, anyway? The whole point about superheroes is that they can do these amazing things to aid people in need...seeing them having to deal with grownup hassles like inlaws and quarrels deadens the fantasy people have for these characters.

And that, boys and girls, is why I absolutely HATE "Lois and Clark".

But that's just me...

If you don't like it, then why the he** are you here? If we wanted venom spewed we would have asked for it. Yes you are entitled to not like the show, but was it necessary to spread your hatred around? BTW you sound jealous of Dean! LOL!

BTW, there are some of us who do enjoy seeing Superman trying to lead a normal life, IMO it would be boring if all he did all day long was save people, he does have a life besides saving people.

I guess I was rather harsh at that, wasn't I?

I apologize to all the folks who were offended by my comments. I assumed this was an open forum, where everyone could state his or her opinion, whether you agreed with it or not. As far as the "Lois and Clark" thread is concerned, however, I see this is not the case.

Which is a shame, really, for Superman epitomizes this very type of freedom. Sure, he punishes evildoers all day long, but he also stands up for those folks who are despised by the majority(miners, the poor, orphans). Superman is always about fair play.

Well, as I said, I do apologize to all those people I offended, and, as far as "Lois and Clark" IS concerned, this is my final comment on the issue.

You know it's one thing if someone had done a poll asking if you liked the show and you said yes or no, but to come into a thread where you can see people like the show and to go off on it is just stupid IMO.

I hate the Cosby show and Roseanne but I definitely wouldn't go into those forums and start bashing the shows because I know there are people there who like them.

I agree, but the board is Superman (All Series).

If I (let's say)love Smallville and hate Lois and Clark, I don't think it's wrong to tell you why I hate the one, because I feel there is better Superman series out there.
This is just a thread on a board for all Superman shows.

If you like one series over another that is fine.
But be sure to point that out you like another better and for a reason.

If you bash All the series, that is another thing.

It's like if there was a board for Cosby (all series) and someone said I love COSBY the best. I would not feel bad to tell you why that sucked because there is better Cosby stuff out there.

True, it's one thing to maybe answer a poll question, like do you like so and so show and to respond No don't like it, but I mean he went off on the show, I mean a little extreme, his perrogative not to like the show, but geesh would you want to read something like that about your fav. show?

I can respect opinions that are different, but when they go off on everything IMO that's disrespectful to the fans who do like the show.

I mean I could go to the Cosby forum and go off on them for how ticked off I am because they get so much favoritism from Nick@Nite, but I won't out of respect for the fans of that show.

I was just cruising the board when I came upon this thread. I have an unbiased opinion about what went on here since I'm not emotionally devoted to or repulsed by Lois and Clark. I read W.J. Griffin's post, and it seemed like an opinion with some teeth is all. I didn't see it as offensive to you people who like the show. This is the 'All Series' board. I was taken aback by how you all not only ganged up but took comfort in numbers and seemed to feel that your ganging up was legitmized by it's sheer numbers. Okay, but I disagree. Griffin was only expressing an opinion. It didn't seem to be mean spirited, and so it shouldn't have been replied to in a mean spirited way. I'm not at all looking to stir anything up here, I'm only telling you all how I saw it from a semi-outsiders point of view. :)

I LOVED Lois & Clark. BTW - I just found this board. LOL

...Anyways, can you believe the only episode I have yet to see is the very last one? I had a basketball game way back when it was originally airing and I trusted my mother to set the VCR for it and she never did. I was so mad at her. And then later on when it ran on TNT I couldn't watch it because I didn't get that channel. :( I loved that show...I wish it lasted longer.

Also, is anyone excited for the Superman movie coming out in the next few years? (whenever that may be)
