Here is what TJ put:

Images are no longer are allowed in signatures, the image code has been disabled. You can have text or smilies I believe in them though. It was a tough decision, but I believe it is the best choice for the boards as it continues to grow.

Most of you come here I think to chat and socialize and less to look at pictures (which you can continue to view by attachments).

The signature rule was constantly being abused, and there was no way to police it. I couldn't put a limit on the length of a signature, the amount of images in a signature, or the size of the images.

I want these boards to be like DVD Talk as far as popularity and speed. They allow attachments and signatures, but they don't allow images in any signatures. You will find very few boards larger than the SO boards that allow images in signatures, it just slows everything down when people are constantly dowloading stuff.

Attachments will continue to be allowed - but they will display as links and not download automatically. This gives people the choice of downloading them or not.

Some of you may leave because of this, I understand. I want to say thank you for your posts in the past and wish you the best of luck in the future.

Well, I didn't vote because I didn't even know that there was a "election" going on. I would have chosen the siggys but I agree with you on something, some people had big siggys and it took time to download them. But i'm not leaving the boards because of that:)

I kind of don't think we will... I think one of the main reasons TJ took away the pics in the siggys is because people abused it too much. At least with the avatars he can limit their size...and you can only have one.

I was looking at the list channel (list the times for shows) a half hour ago or close and on the WE (Women Entertainment) channel a movie has been on since 2:00 according the channel.The name of it it "In The Eye Of A Stranger" I think.It's starring Richard Dean Anderson and he has a mustache,beard and side burns.I thought he is a bum in the beginning, but I don't think so.I'm watching Jeannie so i'm going to check back and forth.
