I want an Ellen/Exorcist blend. I must make one...help me pick some pictures at www.captainhowdy.com. I want photos of Ellen from The Exorcist, I wish I could get that one of her right as Merrin (is that his name?) closes the door before he begins the Exorcism. She looked SO cute!

“The Exorcist II”

(Exterior: L.A. on a fall day…zoom into new McNeil house; Exterior of house “Tubular Bells” plays in background)

(Interior of home; beautiful old fashioned Victorian 3 story home; boxes and loose decrotive items lay scattered everywhere)

Chris: (holding bag of personal items) (beaming up and down at the house) Oh this is just what we wanted…a fresh new start…

Karl: It be good for Regan, ma’am.

Chris: (looks down remembering; quick flashback of Regan’s mangled face) Yes, I agree. She’ll have plenty of room, she’ll even have her own floor. (motioning to 3rd story)

Karl: Where you like these bags, ma’am? (holding armfuls of luggage)

Chris: Uh, put the flowered suitcase in Rag’s room and the others anywhere you can find room.

Karl: (nods) Yes, ma’am.

(Exterior; McNeil’s backyard of 19 acres, soft wind blowing, Chris has hands over Regan’s eyes leading her across the yard)

Chris: Regan? Are you ready for your late birthday present?

Regan: (giggling)

Chris: (releases hands) Ta-da!

(a beautiful, strong gray gelding horse stands before Regan)

Regan: (screaming with excitement and jumping up and down) I got a horse! A horse! A real horse! (jumps up, wraps her arms around Chris and kisses her) Oh Mother, thank you so much! I love you!

Chris: (hugs her) I love you too, why don't you ride it.

Regan: Can I?! (Chris nods) Thank you! (Gets on the horse)

Chris: You're doing fine.

Regan: (smiles and rides away)

Karl: (comes outside) Ms. MacNeil?

Chris: Yeah Karl?

Karl: You have a phone call.

Chris: Already? We just got here.

Karl: It's Mr. MacNeil.

Chris: For god sakes. If he cared that much before then-(looks over at Regan and sighs) I'll be right there.

Chris: (picks up receiver and swallows) Hello?

Howard: Hello, Chris

Chris: listen, if you wanna talk to Regan, she’s-

Howard: Acually, Chris I need to talk to you.

Chris: (closes eyes) Yes?

Howard: I know what happened in Georgetown.

Chris: How did you find out?

Howard: I got a call from the doctor. I really think it's best if I come there and spend time with Regan.

Chris: I really don't-

Howard: Please, Chris. I need to be a part of her life.

Chris: Fine.

Howard: How is she doing now?

Chris: She's fine, she doesn't remember anything. We don't talk about it. I don't want you to talk to her about it.

Howard: Okay...are you okay?

Chris: I'm fine.

Howard: Are you sure?

Chris: Look why are you asking me all these questions?! Why?

Howard: I still care about you Chris, you're still important to me. I miss you and I want to be a part of your life again.

Chris: I don't know what to say to you right now. We'll talk about this later.

Howard: I'll be there in a few days, we can talk about it then.

Chris: Alright.

Howard: Goodbye Chris.

Chris: Bye. (Slowly hangs up the phone and drops into the chair)

(Carolyn the young servant walks in)

Carolyn: Your coffee is ready, Mrs. McNeil.

Chris: (head in her hands; muttering) Yea, thats great, Carolyn...

Carolyn: Anything wrong, Ma'am?

Chris: For God's sake, Carolyn! Just get my coffee! i hired you to serve meals, not counsel me.

Carolyn: (faces turns red of embarrassment) I-I'm on it, Ma'am.

(Carlyn has brought Chris a tray of coffee with cream and sugar etc.)

Chris: (head in one hand, stirring coffee aimlessly with the other) I'm sorry about blowing up on you, Carolyn. I know you were just trying to help.

Carolyn: It's alright, Mrs. McNeil.

Chris: (sighs) No it's not. (pause) Please, Carolyn join me for a cup. (motioning to coffee with a half-smile)

Carolyn: I'd love to. (pours a mug)

Chris: (sips) Are Karl and Willie outside with Regan?

Carolyn: Yes ma'am. I was out w/ her a while ago. She's very attached to that horse. She's decided to name it Rain since it's gray. It reminds her of rain-clouds.

Chris: (smiles) Rain...

Carolyn: Do you want to talk about that phone call from Howard?

Chris: (sighs) He's coming to visit Regan...he says he wants to be a part of her life and...and he found about Georgetown...

Carolyn: Oh.

Chris: You weren't there when...it happened but I'm sure you've...heard stories.

Carolyn: I'll only beleive what you tell me.

Chris: Don't say anything to Regan about her father...I'll take care of it.

Carolyn: Sure thing, Mrs. McNeil
