View Full Version : Do you watch the bonus features on DVDs?

The special features can be a lot of fun. The deleted scenes, alternate endings, bloopers, interviews, actor and director's commentaries, theatrical trailers, The Making Of, music videos, and whatever else is offered are a great behind the scenes look at the movie.
Do you watch it all the time? I don't, unless I'm wild over the movie. The problem is that I'll rent 4 or 5 movies for the weekend, and it takes too much time to watch all that. The special features can often be as long as the movie itself.
Yet, I always feel like I'm missing something because I am.

Deleted scenes are great to watch.
Some of the DVD's out there have so much content, I don't think I'll ever get around to watching all the extra features.
The only bonus feature I don't care for is the audio commentary.
I'm the only one in the room that should be talking over the movie, thank you very much...

That's why I bought the DVD player. I particularly like the interviews and documentaries. I wish that there was even more of the extra stuff on DVDs, because I enjoy all that behind the scenes material.

I always watch them. I'd feel like I was wasting my money if I didn't.

I don't have a DVD player, but I would watch the extras if I did. I think that stuff's pretty neat.

I LOVE to watch the bonus features. That is the best part of the DVD. Especially, the theatrical trailers. I just love those.

Before watching the film, I look through the bonus features, and maybe watch a few for about five minutes- but until you watch the film you can't appreciate what the extra features are about. It's one of the main reasons I buy dvd's- some films have great special features. Has anyone seen the special features to 'Red Dragon'?- some aren't as good as Hannibal, which had 5 hours (like that's true! I doubt anyone'd watch them all, unless you stare at the movie stills for 2 hours) and Silence of the lambs had 1.5 hours. Is the Hannibal Trilogy Box Set any good, any more features not on the three dvd's already? I'm not gonna buy it anyway- unless Hopkin's were to make a fourth film, wrote BY him- and then a set was released. Anyway- red dragon features- if anyone has seen it- what was 'Brett Ratners Untitled Film' about?

Yeah, nothing like a bad movie with tons of bonus features.

Nothing is worse thatn listening to the Director of a crappy movie talk about how hard it was making said crappy movie.
