Are you serious? There is no way it will be as cool as the original. But I will check it out! I wonder who will host it.

Oh I know it won't be as good as the original, but it's something a lot better than TRL. I wish they would rerun the old ones.

On my last post, when I said "are you serious" I meant "are you serious it's coming back," not "are you serious that you're looking forward to this." My last post is all meshed together, I wasn't sure if you could tell what I meant so I just wanted to clear that up. :)

I'm actually looking forward to it too, even though I miss the original. I wish MTV would do AT LEAST a couple hours each day to show old shows. Or MTV2 should. I don't get that station, but I plan on getting it soon. It ticks me off all these awesome shows back in the 80s and 90s don't get played on MTV anymore because MTV just wants to play into the new junk. I still watch it, but it disappoints me.

Oh, I'm sorry. I did misunderstand your first post. Thanks for clearing that up!;) I really think MTV could get a lot of viewers for the new Headbangers Bal if they showed re-runs of the old one. I'm not sure which channel it will come on, I was just watching a special on MTV2 yesterday and they were talking about some of the most memorable moments on the old show. They said that they were going to make a new version of it, but I'm not sure as to whether it will be aired on MTV2 or MTV. Hmmm....who do you think will be the first guest if they do film a new version? I really don't have any idea who will host it, but that Iann Robertson or whatever his name is, that does MTV2 News would probably be a good guy for the job, in my opinion.

That is good news. Headbangers Ball was one of the few programs I liked on MTV.

Is Riki Rachtman coming back too?
I'm sure he has some free time.

I liked Headbangers Ball, watched it occasionally. There were some very humorous moments on that show besides good music.

MTV should also bring back Beavis and Butt-head and Liquid Television.

Hey, does anyone remember "Night Flight" on the USA Network?
It was similar to Liquid Television.

I remember Night Flight!!! That was cool to see videos by WASP and Helix and Loudness on there!!!

Riki Rachtman said he was never "the metal guy" on HB. But who would you like better, him or Adam Currie?? Btw, I even saw DOWNTOWN JULIE BROWN on HB!!!! She was hosting on night!!!

Just caught the first commercial for the new Headbanger's Ball. It's going on MTV2. I should have known. MTV has "All Things Rock" (Oh Boy), so there was no way they would include this. So, it looks like I won't be able to catch it when it first airs, unless I go to some friends house with a satellite.
