Intuition

Anybody else surprised by Jewel's new sound? It's a little weird. Actually, I don't even know if weird is a good word for it...it's just not what I expected from Jewel, I guess.

Yeah, I nearly pooped by pants after realizing it was Jewel singing "Intuition." Although, she went towards the pop genre- she still kept it good. "Intuition" has a very deep meaning, and after noticing it, you will know why she went with this sound.

Okay, you guys will laugh, but the second time I heard this song on the radio, I said "Is Mandy Moore coming out with a new album?" I really thought it was Mandy Moore singing! When I found out a day later it was Jewel, I was stunned. I then said, "All her old fans are gonna think she's a sell out! Unless they are such devoted fans they'd love her if she came out with turkey and the straw." Well, it got a laugh out of my 10 year old sister anyways. So, yes, I am suprised at Jewel's change. I watched TRL for the first time in a very long time and she was on there discussing her change, and then she presented her new video. I actually like the video. And I like the song. A LOT. Haters feel free to laugh. I don't care. But it's funny... and if you see the video, you'll understand. The video is doing a spoof on basically all pop culture--rap videos, gap commericals--all that jazz. Yet, JEWEL is doing the video with her NEW pop sound. Obviously she wouldn't do a pop sound to play into the spoof. She most likely came up with the video concept after deciding to do a pop sounding song. So, I think the gal is a parody of herself!
