LOS ANGELES - Hilary Duff says it's "so weird" for her character Lizzie McGuire to get her own movie because they're just "a little Disney show." Little for her, maybe, but for tweeners across America it's a pretty big deal.
The young actress enjoyed the opportunities the film gave her. "It was really cool that we were all back together again, and in Rome and on the big screen so it was just exciting," Duff told AP Radio.
But she says it was strange kissing Adam Lamberg (news) in the movie since they'd become such good friends filming the 'Lizzie McGuire' television show. "We worked together every single day for two years straight and like, he's my brother. We're really close and it was really weird because we're so close," Duff told AP Radio.
Duff doesn't see herself as a television star. She says she's just a normal 15-year-old. She says she does chores around the house and hangs out with her friends.
"The Lizzie McGuire" movie opens today. It starts where the Disney Channel series left off when it ended its two-year run.
