Who Changed The Most...

Thru Out All 6 Seasons? I Think Wally And June Did.In The Begining Wally Had A Blondish Colored hair...Almost Like It Was Streaked.And While Were On The Subject, Why Was His Hair That Color? After Like The 2nd Or 3rd Season It Changed...And June Changed From Being A Little More Stiff...Not In A Bad Way But Was Just Diffrient...:) Who Do You Think Changed The Most? :)

Wally and Beaver. Beaver was so young at the beginning that he had to be different by the end. Wally changed a lot too. If you look at his voice, his mannerisms, his appearance, etc. at the beginning, he changed quite a lot. It seems to me that Ward, and June, and even Eddie Haskell changed less.

Yup, exactly. It was easy to see the big changes watching the Mayday marathon today. Whenever you get to see episodes from several seasons in just a few hours, you can really tell how the people have changed (not to mention the show as a whole).

I noticed Wally's mannerisms and his speech really change a lot in the third season. I was talking about it in another post a couple days ago, but I edited it, because it sounded like a complaint, and didn't really want to complain about my favorite character. It just takes me some getting used to from season 2 to 3 because of the difference. Beaver is an obvious one too. Some people talk about Beaver being pretty immature in the last season when he should probably start growing up. If he would have just cut out that squinty-eye thing, I would be happy! Immature? Yes, but that didn't bother me too much. It's pretty funny to see what a goof he is all throughout the series. June's change really bother me. She becomes rather unnatural as the series progressed. Who decided to do that to her? Many changes in writers or something?

Oh, and TheFonzIsCool's question about Wally's blond hair in season one-- I'm not sure why it was like that. I didn't know boys back then ever had their hair dyed. And he didn't NEED it colored for the part (it grew out soon anyways), so I have wondered why it was like that in the beginning.

I think Gilbert changed a lot as well as Wally and Beaver.
I also noticed Wallys hair being blonder in the earlier seasons. I've read that he was quite an active swimmer and sometimes the chlorine in the pool will bleach your hair. Many people have blonde hair when they are kids but when they hit puberty and hormones start kicking in it will darken. That happened to my brothers and I. Wally wore his hair a little longer in the first season too which might explain why it looked different.

I'd have to go with Beaver and Wally too. But it's only natural that they changed so much, the show chronicled the time in a boys life in which he changes the most! Poor Jerry Mathers...puberty can be such an awkward time, and all he has to do to be reminded of it is to turn on the tv! LOL

I think June changed a lot too. In the first few seasons, she was more relaxed and had a lot more of the funny lines, but as the show progressed and her character evolved, she became more sophisticated. More like Aunt Martha you could say. But I don't think she got snooty like a lot of people do. I definitely noticed the change though. Not to mention, the fact she had a new hairstyle every season. :D

Good point, Mijada. I didn't even think of that with the chlorine in the pool, even though I knew he was a swimmer. I used to swim and it happened to me. I just assumed it was dyed and it eventually grew out brown. And that's so true about people's hair naturally changing as they get older. My hair grew out lighter when I got older, fortunately. My eye color changed too. It was weird.

Well, without a doubt, Beav changed the most. He went from a cute little guy to a whole different person with a different voice and everything. Second is Wally, though he went from a cute kid to a cuter kid. June changed, she went from a very beautiful, sexy and vibrant wife to a staid, much stiffer mom. Eddie changed but, mostly in his character development. In the early seasons, he's just a pain, but in the later systems, he is sheer genius. I actually don't think Ward changed very much. I think they just gave him a slightly different slant to his role, that is from total dad to more of an advisor in the later seasons. I think aside from his hair graying, he didn't change physically at all.

Oh yeah, Fred Rutherford stayed exactly the same.:lol:
