How many of you like the new version of God Bless The U.S.A. by the American Idols Constestants??? It is at number 4 on the pop charts this week. This song was written by a true patriot, country singer Lee Greenwood, whose version in 1984 went to number 7 on the country charts, and also won the Country Music Association Song Of The Year Award that very year. In 2001,Lee took the song back into the top 20(Number 16) on the country charts as well and stayed on the country charts for a while.
And I'm Proud To Be An American
Where At Least I Know I'm Free
And I Won't Forget The Men Who Died Who Gave That Right For Me
And I Gladly Stand Up,Next To You,And Defend Her Still Today
Because There Ain't No Doubt I Love This Land
God Bless The U.S.A.
God Bless The U.S.A. !!!God Bless The Troops and our Military!!! Bring our men and women home!!!
