Just found this when researching JD Salinger and the Catcher in the Rye and found it interesting!

"It might depress you to know that Salinger has always been an avid TV watcher. Gilligan's Island, Leave it to Beaver, Peyton Place, Dynasty, and obviously, Mr. Merlin. His favorite was and maybe still is The Andy Griffith Show. He watches TV while eating dinner off of a folding metal TV tray. There's now a satellite dish on his house which you can see from the public road at foot of his driveway. "

He likes LITB too!

:D

It's no surprise that America's greatest scholars and wisest men endorse LITB.

He had good taste. I wish some channel would pick up Peyton Place. I've seen the movie and really liked it. I've never seen the tv soap though, the one with Mia Farrow and Ryan O'Neal.

Majada,

I too wish a tv station would pick up the series Peyton Place, I saw 2-3 years of the show about 15 years ago but never did see the whole series. It was good. I thought it was steamy then.
Lifetime seems like the station if would be good on.
