LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "The Osbournes" matriarch Sharon Osbourne and a Hollywood talent agent filed police reports accusing each other of battery after an incident at a restaurant last week.
The altercation, which took place Thursday (April 10) at a Japanese restaurant in West Hollywood, apparently stems from a months-old dispute between Osbourne and Renee Tab, an agent at International Creative Management.
"Two reports were taken of a mutual battery," LAPD spokesman Sgt. John Pasquariello tells the Los Angeles Times. "This one woman says Sharon spit on her, and Sharon said the other woman struck her in the face."
Osbourne's publicist sent an e-mail to news organizations the day after the incident saying her client had recently finished chemotherapy and couldn't have done what she's accused of due to her "weakened state." Tab couldn't be reached. MTV, which airs "The Osbournes," and ICM are staying out of the dispute.
Investigators are trying to suss out what's true in the conflicting reports, but they believe the incident is the continuation of a dispute that started at a New Year's Eve party hosted by Osbourne and her husband, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.
Tab won a $15,000 diamond necklace in a raffle at the party. A few days later, the Osbournes demanded its return, claiming the raffle was for invited guests only, and Tab wasn't one of them. The couple filed a theft report with Beverly Hills police a week after the party.
