UMM???
Is it just my opinion or is their a new trend of trouble makers on the boards??? Poor Martina Gurl is being attacked viciously.
Crimson_and _Clover was attacked. Then somebody posted a nasty thread about The Facts of Life. Knowing a good majority of the board members are Facts Of Lifers. I've heard alot of people
say there are people who have 3 or 4 screen names. I think we should make this the Trouble Makers post. Any Sitcoms On Line
Board member should report in this thread any trouble they see to warn other board members. Maybe then we can catch this villian or villians. Also do you think it is one person or more?????
Also don't assume any one just by the way they type or talk. They can carefully study other board members names and the way they talk and the way they write. Also somebody tried to steal Mrs. Conan O'Brien's screen name. Will the stupidity ever end.I think working together we can capture this bandit.

This is all news to me. I wasn't aware that there was any serious trouble-makers here. Apart from a few people who seem to have a bit of a grudge with each other for whatever reason and Nate refusing to bugger off for good, I thought things were reasonably peaceful.
This is a good idea though - if someone is giving you a hard time then what better place to name-and-shame them than here? Although I have my doubts that it will totally rectify the problem. I mean, the furthest you can go is to ban people but TJ's banned loads of folk and they all manage to find a way to get back on.
What else can you do?

So true. Just look at all the computers a person could have access to. You got a home computer, could go to the library to get on a computer, school computer, if you're in school and if you work and have any free time, you might have a work computer. That's just some of the access you can get. Look at Nate. He got banned on his home computer, but he came back on his school computer.

This thread is a good idea and I do say we keep it, but I say the best thing to do is email/pm TJ if someone is giving you a hard time. He can warn them and ban them, but it still might not stop them. Like Mossopp said, what else can you do?

A possible problem with listing people who are causing problems is that someone may list another user only because they're currently in an argument with them. Say that over on the Chit-Chat Politics board, I get in an argument with another board member (not even a name-calling argument), and I get annoyed because they don't agree with my opinion. Then I could get carried away and post a complaint about that member here and say they were attacking me. That wouldn't be fair to the other person. My main point is that I hope people wouldn't get carried away with pointing out "problem members."

You're right, that could be a problem. Some folk do have a tendancy to get carried away with petty arguments. I wouldn't like to see my name on a 'problem members' list cos I happened to disagree with someone on some small insignificant issue.

I have to admit that I didn't really think about that, but you do have a point. Yeah, you just mentioned a very good point.

Yes. Things are getting out of hand. Just last night, Chris (GOMM) got into an argument with me. He said that everybody hates me now and that all I'm trying to do now is to get attention because I talk about me killing myself. Well all I can say to that is I AM INFACT SUICIDAL. He dosen't know me at all and frankly I don't think any of you do. But the fact is that I am suicidal. But I guess what I want to know now is that, who here hates me?

Well I don't really have any problems with any members - oh there are a few that annoy me (when they refuse to go away despite several bans) but that's not too bad. If people are getting attacked, then those members do deserve to be listed.

Yeah guys, don't list people cuz you're ticked at them. I've gotten people ticked at me - anyone that read the Attack Iraq thread a little while ago is probably very up to date with my political views - but hey, if we all agreed these boards would be really boring. :rolleyes: :)

what pisses me off is the fact that some ppl are jumpin into ****in conclusions and saying that it was me that IMed madelyn all that ****. WOW...THAT PERSON TYPES LIKE I DO! THAT MEANS ITS ME HUH? Get a ****in grip.

Sarah, I never once said it was you and frankly I don't think it was you. I think it was some other person who's be banned god knows how many times. Everyone you know who I'm talking about. Also, now that I think of it Madelyn was in that chat I was invited to, but I didn't want to be in so I left maybe it was one of those people in that chat room. I wonder if the attacker said that stuff before I saw her in there or not.. :confused:

Yea, all this is is just a fun place to hang out if you're bored. Like Amanda once said, people shouldn't take themselves so seriously because it's only online. It's isn't real! The only thing that keeps us all here is a thin little wire running from your computer to a phone jack. That's really all it is. I got into my fair share of arguements in the past, and sometimes let it get to me, but realized there's no use being mad all the time since you're probably never going to see that person in your lifetime, especially if you always argue with them. I say if you get in a fight, don't hurry to thread and report it right away. Take a few days to cool down and see if you still feel the same way about that person.

A lot of threads tend to do that. Remember the thread TJ posted about toning the cursing down a bit? It turned into a huge swearing fest. I think this thread was sort of expecting a fight when it was posted.

Yeah I do think that is pretty ironic. But most threads that start out like this do end up in fights.

With a few exceptions, I don't think there are really any trouble-makers here. I love posting here. It's one of the very few places on-line that I post at anymore.

I was labeled as a trouble-maker at another board I used to post at. I wasn't even doing anything wrong. These couple of people who didn't care for my tastes in TV and music decided to attack me any chance they got and would then accuse me of trying to pick fights with them when all I was doing was expressing my opinion and calmly trying to defend myself against their attacks.

And Greg and Melissa, I don't hate you guys at all :D

Well the only thing that is left to do (that I can think of) is to close down this site if the arguments become more frequent and severe.

Not everyone gets along, not everyone loves each other, we can't all hold hands and sing peace songs and live in harmony. Lets make a tattle tail post and see how many people get listed there...

Yes you are right. First of all I started this post. 2nd It has been way mis interpeted.3rd it was not to start problems.

I think if someone has a huge problem they should go to TJ.
Also as JoJoJoJoJoJoJoJoJo said as human nature goes we all have different taste views and opinions. So we are all sure to disagree at one time or another. What I ment to warn others was
not minor disagreements. Like if Someone posted something I disagreed about I shouldn't just run to this post and tell on them.
I ment was if a member is harassing you and others constantly,they steal your screen name,Slander you or other members,or e-mail you privately with obscene messages.
Also not to accuse anybody. To make sure you know for sure it was them and that you have ALL THE Facts.

Exactly right. A lot of people on this site are very decent people. Yeah, we do get into squabbles, but over all we're all pretty good. It's just a few people that come here to stir crap up and you can usually tell who those people are. Just look at the posts. If each post has a negative quality to it, it looks like the person loves to stir it up.

I don't think it would ever come to that. Most of the fights on here aren't even that bad...sure they can get a little annoying but for the most part they are just petty arguements between a few people.
