No Hugh died of a heart attack I think around the 80's when The New Leave It To Beaver tv series was made. I believe it was a heart attack. You can probably look on the Beaver websites or in the internet movie database there is a site called http://www.litb.com and the internet movie database is http://www.imdb.com do a search for Hugh Beaumont. I hope I was of some help.

Hugh Beaumont died years ago-as did Sue randall-Miss Landers-check out
Find A Grave.com-it lists just about every celebrity that you can think of. Unfortunatelt it doesn't list every supporting cast member-I don't know what Sue randall had died from but she was in her 50s

Sue Randall died from Cancer. It was very sad. She was on one of the later shows, then we didn't see her anymore. Hugh Beaumont died in 1982. He went to visit his son and then passed away. It's sad getting older, because we learn so many have gone. He died from a serious stroke. He had a stroke before this. His health went downhill fast. I don't know what type of cancer Sue Randall had, I'm sorry I can't remember. But, a friend of mine in California said she resisted Chemo of any kind.

This thread is really old, but I haven't posted on this board that much. I saw the first LITB reunion movie back in the 90's, I guess it was, and there was a really cute scene where June was at Ward's gravesite and says "Ward, I'm worried about the Beaver". I think that Beaver was having work issues or something. It was sweet, but sad to see that.

Anyway, I didn't know the specifics of his death, but the information that Olde Movie Fan posted is very sad. I didn't know about Sue Randall either. I wonder if she had cancer while on the show and died during the series, or after it ended. I guess I could do some research on it. "Movie Fan" seemed to know a lot about the show. It's a shame they only have one post.

Old thread, but I believe Sue Randall was a heavy smoker, and died of lung cancer.

I once read somewhere that Hugh Beaumont ran a christmas tree farm in his home state of Minnesota prior to his passing away in 1982.

About 10 years before Leave It To Beaver, Hugh Beaumont acted in a few films for low budget studio PRC. Among these was a series of five films where Mr. Beaumont played the detective character Michael Shayne. These 1940's movies are worthwhile to watch if you can find them, Larceny In Her Heart and Three On A Ticket are probably the best ones.

Why couldn't this thread have been about what Barbara Billingsley is doing these days? She ran for 94 years as of 2009. Hugh Beaumont passed in 1982 ater 73 years.
