odd question

but how are tv shwos rated. Like I know by how many people watch a certain show, but how does the person in control of that know how many people are watching a certain show? Sry if it is confusing I don't know how to explain it better lol.

I know what you mean. 500 people could be watching a TV show on one TV, while only 1 is watching another show elsewhere.

hmm interesting question I've often wondered that myself Ive heard several different stories on it One being its on the percentage of people watching a certain show they do this by tapping into the cable box or whatever BUT if that holds true WHAT if more then one person watches the same thing in the same house on different tvs (Yes my family does that) then thier theory goes out the window another way being they randomnly go from house to house asking you what shows you watch and go from there? but neither one of those ways cant be very accurate so I dont think they are true GOOD question though
