The Canadian Radio and Television Commission (CRTC) is currently looking at an application submitted by the Crossroads Television System, which is the cable channel CTS that we all know and love for their great classic family sitcoms like "Happy Days" and "Family Affair". If successful, this will allow CTS to expand its viewing base beyond the Southern Ontario area by building new broadcast transmitters in London, Ontario and Ottawa. CTS is looking for its viewers to help in making this project a success. If you live near London or Ottawa and are in favor of this expansion process, you can go here to the CTS website for more details.

If this process is successful, it will allow a larger audience to enjoy some of the great sitcoms that CTS airs and perhaps in the future, in order to placate their larger audience, the programming will get even better (or so we can only hope). I wish them lots of luck!

I wish they could expand to the U.S. I would go nuts if it did :)

That would be good news for me. I live in Ottawa.

I wasn't even aware of CTS. My classic sitcoms station is Prime.

This is also good news for one of our regulars, Splain, who lives in Montreal. He might be able to get CTS too, without having to search for it on satellite.

I watch Prime too, but only on Saturdays, when I feel that they have the best schedule. On weekdays the only show of theirs I watch is "Petticoat Junction". Overall, I think CTS is a little better, although I wish they could do more.
