The purpose of it was to keep people from bitching because some people felt that the random posts took up too much space on the normal Chit Chat board.

Obviously you haven't seen the thread where Caitlin used like 1000 of those ':rolleyes:' smileys in one post. Then Karly quoted those 1000 and added another 1000 in her post. I had to restart my computer because I got stuck in that mess!
